The absurdity of Joey Votto

Now that the regular season is over and I was perusing the league leaders at bb-ref. It struck me the number of things that a certain someone was able to do. I realize it's well established, but I sometimes feel that I take the ludicrousness of his play for granted.

He was:

Tied for 1st in the NL in walks (in 111 games)

Tied for 2nd in the NL in doubles (in 111 games)

4th in Adjusted Batting Runs (in 111 games)

1st in WPA in both Leagues (in 111 games)

1st in OBP in both leagues with 27 hitless at-bats added. By 32 points. Three. Two.

We are truly spoiled.
