Fister vs. Bumgarner.
It's the most giggle-inducing pitching match-up since R.A. Dickey faced P. J. Sexname. If it hadn't already, SF's playoff run became completely irrational after last night. I guess that should make us feel a tiny bit better about the crushing NLDS loss. They have weird fate on their side.
Last time I checked in with Madison Bumgarner, he was being knocked around by the Reds as one of 7 Giants pitchers to appear in the Reds' 9-0 Game 2 victory. I guess he's gotten a lot better since then.
