A little perplexed

I just read the details of the trade sending Carlos Quetin to the Padres and I'm a little perplexed as to why the Reds did not pull off this deal. The Padres didn't give up much to get him and he would have been the answer in left field (where the Padres plan to play him). I wish his .254 average was higher, but I imagine GAB would have given him an average boost to around .270 which would have been great out of the LF. On top of that you add 30 HR's and 80 RBI's out of the LF spot to go with Votto, Bruce and Phillips.

Maybe I am missing something, but with what the Reds were willing to give up for Latos and Marshall (2 trades I am questioning right now for various reasons) I wonder why they couldn't pull a deal for Quetin.

My attempt to reach the mandatory word count....Thoughts?
