RR meetup; Dayton Dagons style

Slidin' Billy Hamilton, Juan Duran, our man Yorman Rodriguez, fightin' Frank Phister, future aces Daniel Corcino and Kyle Lotkzar are winding up the regular season up in Dayton. I've been wanting to head up 75 North and check out a game all year long and with only a couple weeks left on the schedule, it's now or never. The Dragons are playing a series this weekend against the mighty West Michigan Whitecaps (Tigers affiliate), and it looks like yours truly and minor league guru BK are heading up to Dayton. We are leaning toward going to the Sunday game (4pm EST), but if there are a bunch of folks that can make it Saturday we can do that instead. So, what say you RR'ers, want to go check out some future Reds in Dayton this weekend? Tickets are $17 for seats or $12 for general admission lawn seating.

You can pretty much always get lawn seats.

and they sell out

but tickets are almost always available at or below box price through ebay, stubhub, etc. From what I understand a really high number or their tickets are sold via corporate season ticket packages, and often times the companies sell the extras.

That’s how it used to be at PNC Field. Until the recession hit. Now they don’t even open the upper deck on weekdays any more.

but I have other plans. Secret plans.

I have plans to catch the Bats/Clippers here in Columbus on Monday, but I might be persuaded to hike out to Dayton that night instead.

Really looking forward to seeing some of the young kids. I already have my tickets, although I will have to take a look and see where I am sitting (they were gifted to me).

Molecular gastronomy can take a hike as far as I'm concerned.
