Nats-y light: DC meetup this week?
Mid-August seemed so far away, but it turns out that the week of Reds games in DC is now upon us. I'm planning to go to at least one game, and if you live in the area, so should you! As I mentioned previously, to celebrate that I actually have a job that pays in real money (rather than exclusively in self-esteem hits), I'll buy a round for any RRers who show up.
So is there any interest in organizing a group outing? If so, which game would people prefer?

I'm planning to go to all three games
Although I’m planning on just buying $5 tickets at the gate, then moving around. I like the Bullpen (open air bar just across the street from the stadium as a pre- or post-game meetup spot.
Since the team hotel is right across the street from my place of employment, I’m thinking there’ll be some lunchtime stalking of the team as well, if anyone else wants in.
I think there are still $2 tickets available for tonight
and the seats are better than the $5 walk up tickets. I usually spend most of the time at Nats games walking around or standing though. Which hotel are the Reds in?

I tried to see them on their website and it wasn't working
I’m wondering if you have to get the tickets at the game?
Stubhub prices are really low right now – might just go ahead and get an outfield reserve ticket
Bart: "Dad, what's a Muppet?"
Homer: "Well, it's not quite a mop, not quite a puppet, but man... (laughs, then pauses) So, to answer you question, I don't know."
That's what I did,
it is my favorite section anyway and the stub hub prices are dirt cheap.

Yup, whenever I go to Nats park I almost always end up out there
Great seats and now they’re super cheap…hard to pass up
Bart: "Dad, what's a Muppet?"
Homer: "Well, it's not quite a mop, not quite a puppet, but man... (laughs, then pauses) So, to answer you question, I don't know."
Being right inside the main gate and near all the best food doesn't hurt either.
I’m usually in CF, though I may have to move further towards right when Harper finally gets called up next season. I hate not having a big left bat in the lineup this season.

My guess is the $2 tickets are sold out now
since the link is no longer working. Normally, you would just go HERE

Cool, thanks
That’s where I went and came up with the error message…figured they were probably sold out
Bart: "Dad, what's a Muppet?"
Homer: "Well, it's not quite a mop, not quite a puppet, but man... (laughs, then pauses) So, to answer you question, I don't know."
I'd be interested in going to a game
Don’t really have a preference for a game.
Lunchtime stalking does sound interesting, but that would require me to get into DC around lunch…probably not going to happen
Bart: "Dad, what's a Muppet?"
Homer: "Well, it's not quite a mop, not quite a puppet, but man... (laughs, then pauses) So, to answer you question, I don't know."
I'll be there for Wednesday's game
I already have tix, so there’s that. And I’ll have a 7 yr old along, so getting into the Bullpen would be a problem.
In other words, I’ll be completely irrelevant with respect to the group outing discussion. Carry on.
how will the kid ever learn social skills?
It will get better.

It's not strictly a bar
The kid can come in, (s)he just can’t drink booze. There’s some snacks and soft drinks there, as well as cornhole, a speed pitch, and usually live music.

OK, and what if I want to slip the kid some booze?
At any rate, I’ll shoot you a text sometime before gametime…

They have decent food in there, and it's a lot cheaper than inside the park.

If anyone is interested in finding me and hanging out during any of the games
E-mail me at the address at the bottom of the page, and I’ll send you my phone number.
I'll definitely be there tomorrow night...
and depending on how that goes, one or two of the others.
Still not a candidate.
I'm planning to go to Tuesday's and Wednesday's game with my brother and some friends.
So I don’t think I’m in for this series, unless it’s just for a one-inning visit or something. (Meet you all at the curly W pretzel stand? ;)
But I think we should also talk about another meet-up, perhaps to watch the Reds and Nationals play at GABP next weekend, or sometime during the upcoming Marlins or Phillies series. There’s no mo Momo’s, but I’m sure one of you can recommend somewhere else. Anyone interested in that?

Touchdown Bar is in the old Momo's space
I think it’s got some better deals than Momo’s did, and some better food. Otherwise, it’s pretty much the same.

Also, if anyone doesn't have tickets yet
StubHub has some fantastic deals right now.

bears shit in creeks
Also it’s shandy (beer and lemonade mixed together) not shanty (a ramshackle cabin).
Let a man come in and do the Popcorn.
Barnesburg has it on tap
