Farmers Only: DoJo is finally getting his mojo back
- Louisville beat Columbus 5-2. Matt Maloney pitched 6 innings, giving up 2 runs with 6 strikeouts and one walk. Jordan Smith picked up his 7th save of the year, and is probably the best candidate to actually help the big league bullpen at some point. Jeremy Hermida was 2-for-4 with a homer (his 14th), and Chris Valaika had 2 hits as well. Up next: The Bats take on Toledo at 7.
- Carolina won 4-3 against Mississippi despite only collecting 6 hits. Henry Rodriguez was 2-for-4 and Cody Puckett drove in 2 runs. Curtis Partch had a good start, giving up 3 runs in 6 2/3 innings, and Donnie Joseph pitched a scoreless 9th for his 5th save of the year. That's 6 straight scoreless outings for DoJo. Is he figuring AA out? Up next: Day off.
- Bakersfield broke up a pitchers' duel in the 8th to beat San Jose 3-0. Matt Fairel pitched 6 shutout innings with 4 strikeouts and no walks, and 4 different Blaze(s) had multi-hit games, including a 2 RBI performance from Brodie Greene. Up next: Day off.
- Dayton's game was postponed. They'll start a new series against West Michigan at 7 with Daniel Corcino on the mound.
- Billings beat Helena 2-0. Tony Cingrani started and went 4 one-hit innings with 6 strikeouts, and Cole Green threw the next 3. Erik Miller and James Allen threw an inning each to complete the staff shutout. Junior Arias was 2-for-4 and Nick O'Shea hit his 7th homer of the year. Up next: Great Falls at 9:05, started TBD.
- The AZL Reds lost 7-3 to the AZL Pads. Gabriel Rosa was 1-for-4 with a triple and a RBI. Up next: AZL A's at 2.
