The reds are hosting their annual REDS SUMMER WIFFLE® CLASSIC, and Red Reporter would like to field a team this year.

The Reds Community Fund’s fifth annual Summer Wiffle® Classic takes place on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Mason Sports Park in Mason, Ohio.

The Summer Wiffle® Classic is a family-friendly event with divisions for both adult and youth teams, comprised of 3-5 players per team.

As of now, the RR team has 3 confirmed players.  BK, Slyde & Me!  We are looking for a couple of other Red Reporters that would like to join the team.  We don't really have any requirements aside from you really wanting to play.  However, if you are the world's greatest wiffle ball player, that would be super awesome.

To participate in the 2011 Summer Wiffle® Classic, teams will be required to raise a minimum of $250 for the Reds Community Fund. Upon registration, participants will set up a fundraising page to collect donations. Customized e-mails can be sent to friends, family and co-workers allowing them to make contributions via a secure website

We have not started this portion yet, but will do so as soon as we have the rest of the team confirmed.  Also, it has been suggested that we get together and have a practice or two before the event starts, and I think this is a great idea.  If you are expressing interest, please also let us know what times would work for a practice or two.
