- Louisville lost 7-2 to Toledo. Daryl Thompson started and gave up 2 runs in 6 innings.with 3 strikeouts, but Jeremy Horst and Brandon Hynick combined for 5 runs in relief. Zack Cozart read the FO yesterday and decided to get his ass in gear, going 3-for-4 with a walk, and Todd Frazier clubbed his 14th homer of the year. - Carolina beat Huntsville 9-2. Another big night offensively, as Neftali Soto was 3-for-4 with his 4th homer in 5 games. Yasmani Grandal had his first 3-hit game at AA, as did David Cook, who hit his 4th homer of the year as well. Pedro Villarreal started and went 6 innings of 2-run ball to get the win. - Bakersfield lost 8-6 to Stockton. Brodie Greene led the way with 2 homers and 3 RBI, and Kevin Coddington added his 1st of the year to account for most of the Blaze offense. Unfortunately, Josh Ravin gave up 6 runs in 6 innings pitched (with 6 strikeouts) (and 6 walks), and the bullpen didn't bail him out in the late innings. - Dayton beat Lansing 9-2 behind Daniel Corcino. Is it just me, or is Corcino showing shades of a young John Cueto? Corcino went 7 innings and gave up 2 runs with 1 walk and 8 strikeouts. He's got 81 so far on the year, to only 14 walks. That's producing. Ronald Torreyes went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI and 2 stolen bases, putting him at 4 on the season and 51 behind Billy Hamilton got on base one time and stole another base. Up next: Tanner Robles takes on the Lugnuts at 7.
- Billings overcame a 9th inning deficit on the road and played add-on in the 10th to beat Missoula 11-5. Kurtis Muller was 3-for-5 with a homer, and Robert Maddox, Sean Buckley, and Dayne Read all added homers as well. Radhames Quezada gave up 4 runs (3 earned) in 4 1/3 innings in his start, with 5 strikeouts. Up next: Kyle McMyne gets the start as the Mustangs take on Missoula at 9:05 ET.
