Farmers Only: Baby Cueto mows them down again in Dayton

Louisville lost 7-2 to Toledo. Daryl Thompson started and gave up 2 runs in 6 innings.with 3 strikeouts, but Jeremy Horst and Brandon Hynick combined for 5 runs in relief. Zack Cozart read the FO yesterday and decided to get his ass in gear, going 3-for-4 with a walk, and Todd Frazier clubbed his 14th homer of the year. Up next: Bats start a new series against Gwinnett at 7:05, starter hasn't been announced yet.
Carolina beat Huntsville 9-2. Another big night offensively, as Neftali Soto was 3-for-4 with his 4th homer in 5 games. Yasmani Grandal had his first 3-hit game at AA, as did David Cook, who hit his 4th homer of the year as well. Pedro Villarreal started and went 6 innings of 2-run ball to get the win. Up next: Matt Klinker takes on Tennessee at 7:15.
Bakersfield lost 8-6 to Stockton. Brodie Greene led the way with 2 homers and 3 RBI, and Kevin Coddington added his 1st of the year to account for most of the Blaze offense. Unfortunately, Josh Ravin gave up 6 runs in 6 innings pitched (with 6 strikeouts) (and 6 walks), and the bullpen didn't bail him out in the late innings. Up next: Mark Serrano takes on Stockton in a rare day game, a 2:05 ET start.
Dayton beat Lansing 9-2 behind Daniel Corcino. Is it just me, or is Corcino showing shades of a young John Cueto? Corcino went 7 innings and gave up 2 runs with 1 walk and 8 strikeouts. He's got 81 so far on the year, to only 14 walks. That's producing. Ronald Torreyes went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI and 2 stolen bases, putting him at 4 on the season and 51 behind Billy Hamilton got on base one time and stole another base. Up next: Tanner Robles takes on the Lugnuts at 7.
Billings overcame a 9th inning deficit on the road and played add-on in the 10th to beat Missoula 11-5. Kurtis Muller was 3-for-5 with a homer, and Robert Maddox, Sean Buckley, and Dayne Read all added homers as well. Radhames Quezada gave up 4 runs (3 earned) in 4 1/3 innings in his start, with 5 strikeouts. Up next: Kyle McMyne gets the start as the Mustangs take on Missoula at 9:05 ET.
The AZL Reds had the night off. They'll take on the AZL Brewers at 10 tonight.

Carroll goes for the Bats

Junior Arias had two doubles for Billings. Looks like they’ve given up on him playing SS, however. Reds have a lot of 3B prospects at the lower levels.
