Good article.
Dunner sums him up well:
“He just says some stupid s—-,” says former teammate Adam Dunn, now with the White Sox. “Brandon’s not a bad guy at all.”
Another good RR tagline
Replacing “Brandon Phillips” with “The Red Reporter.”

Wow, the comments in that article are hilarious

I laugh in the face of Cardinals fans everywhere.
They’re easy to identify – they are always either whining or telling you how classy they are. It’s quite humorous that they don’t realize that telling people you are classy is just about the least classy thing you can say.

Good point
Even someone as classy as me knows that.
The season doesn't start until the Cincinnati Reds take the field! Reclaim The Opener!!

"He's a very humble man, with a lot to be humble about."
And honestly, who comments on ESPN articles?
"You said 'walks' twice."
"I like walks."
what the fuck is ESPN?
I’m still waiting for RRHDCenter.

"Cueto also left scratches that still remain on pitcher Chris Carpenter's back."
1-6, 4.47 ERA, 1.39 WHIP.
I don’t think that’s Cueto, I think it’s from the giant fork sticking out of him.

And I'm guessing the scratches have healed since last August
If Carpenter still has open and oozing scratches on his back, he should probably see a doctor. That’s a serious problem.

Cardinals fans are legitimately still blaming his poor play on the fact that he got kicked in the back by Cueto, say he "hasn't been the same" since then.
Which really annoys me. I think just about anyone who’s played a sport has dealt with being cut up and bruised. I definitely know that if you blamed a few cleat marks for poor play in rugby you’d be laughed off the team. I would imagine a lot of of baseball players are the same way, especially if said cleat marks were obtained a year ago.
I’d just like to hear some players be completely candid about Carpenter; there’s no way he’s respected around the league, or at least not by guys who have heard him talk. He’s a good pitcher, sure, but he is really the epitome of a whiny little bitch.

did anybody notice the part fay touched upon?
Phillips on staying in Cincinnati: "It’s going to be hard to keep me here … I’m not trying to break the bank. I’m just trying to be fair. I don’t want Jayson Werth money or CC Sabathia money."
"And a high fly ball to center field. He hit it a ton. And the 2010 National League Central Division Champs are the Cincinnati Reds!"
Amusing term ...
The one guy saying that people who complain all the time are known as Carpenters.
Maybe that needs to be incorporated into jargon.

I have a buddy that is a Cards fan
and he always has nice things to say about the Reds. (to my face anyways) The rest of them are $##holes though. I want to fight them…all of them. I get sick of hearing about the Cueto and Larue thing…..I’ve been in plenty of moshpits where I have been squeezed pretty tight and your instincts kicked in..Johnny was being pinned against the wall and was just trying to protect himself…get over it!
Yeah, when it seems to be over ... the TV announcers make sure they bring it up again.
Followed by the standard suck-off disclaimer that “He’s a great guy. He just loves to play the game.”

Most Cardinal fans have ever been in moshpits.
They don’t like to leave their homes.
