Sim CIN: be the Reds in a sim baseball league
The South Side Sox (White Sox SBN blog) sim baseball league has an opening for someone to run the Reds. We're about to start the 2016 season, but the Reds still have Votto, Bruce, Cueto, Volquez and others you'll recognize.
It's free to play. You control your line-up, make trades, sign free agents. Sims twice a day on weekdays, but none on weekends. If you check your team once a day on most weekdays you should be fine. We have revenue sharing so being a small market is workable (Kansas City won the 2015 world series).
If you want to join, you'll need the league password. Email our commish and he'll set you up. hazymania@hotmail.com
After you get the password, go to http://www.baseball-manager-online.com/. Click "join now". Fill out the form and click submit. Click "verify signup", don't wait for a verification email because you won't get one. It will send you to a log in screen. Enter your username and password. Click "search for a premium league". Type "south" in the search for league name box. Make sure you check the "Show leagues with passwords" box! it will find our South Side Sox league. Enter the password and click join.
If you have questions, post them here and I'll be happy to answer.

A few minutes a day is plenty.
Check for trade offers or injuries. Bid on free agents. It’s all quick and easy. If you don’t check for a few days your team will be fine.
If you work at a computer, you may find yourself checking the league and forum more often. It’s a good boredom fighter.

I do work at a computer but I also am always super busy, typically working 55-75 hour weeks.
If it only takes a few minutes a day and nothing is super time sensitive, I’ll play!
Send our commish an email to get the password.
His address is in the post above.
The next season is ready to begin, but there are several good free agent pitchers still available. Sign some of them and you might contend right away.

Neat.
Keep us updated, jsl413
You should have left that morning, should have left that day
take your love and your child away
Is there still a spot available?
if the reds aren’t available then possibly another team?
BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Jsl413 hasn't taken the Reds yet
So you could try to beat him to it if you want. Otherwise, Pittsburgh’s owner says he’d like to give up his team, so you could be the Pirates.
We’re also starting a 2nd league. 20 teams are filled so far.
You can be in one league or both. Either way, the first step is to email the commish for the league password(s).

Also, the forums for both leagues are on the South Side Sox blog fan posts
Look for posts with “BMO” (baseball manager online) in the title.

I'm actually having trouble getting registered, keeps telling me that there's no account @ my email address and that my username isn't valid.
Did you click the "verify signup" button?
That’s the only suggestion I have.

It would be super cool if FanGraphs came out with something like this.
I’d even pay for that. But this seems.. blah. Not up my alley.
I'm in the second league.
it’s basically Baseball Mogul online.
Should be interesting.
BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Thanks for joining.
You can have the Reds in the first league too, if you want.

Okay ... we have 2 sim leagues and the Reds are the only team available in both.
The ONLY team. Why doesn’t anyone want to be Cincinnati? Is there a bad smell in the clubhouse? A jinx on the front office? I don’t know.
Save the Reds, join our league(s)!
