B double E double R U N
I recently contacted the Yuengling brewing company to inquire when their fine product would be available for purchase in the Buckeye state. My intention was purely selfish, I wanted to buy a shit ton of Yuengling brands and service them for an event I have planned in early September. I also wanted to ask where the closest Distributor was to Great American Ball Park juuuuuuuuust in case I have to make a road trip to secure said nectar of the gods.
It looks like Ohio is on tap for later this year, but probably not before fall. Kentucky is scheduled to join the madness next year. Shit salad, that doesnt help! Looks like Huntington WV is the closest city with a distributor who sells Y. Naturally when i attempted to call said distributor the phones were unanswered on their end each dial. Par for the course. (tip: Lord Chesterfield Ale is jch's "MAB&G burger", very overrated!)
1) Why does Yuengling sell two different types of light beer, one 98 calorie per bottle and one 99 calories? I haven't tried all their product...i'd love to get some feedback on their different brands.
2) I'm going to stock the bar with one beer that Red Reporter itself nominates. (must be under $10/six pack) What beer would you recommend? Remember, it has to be sold in the I275 loop. Or in Huntington WV.

Honest question - Have you ever had the Chesterfield Ale?
Also – “Remember, it has to be sold in the I275 loop. Or in Huntington WV.” cracked me right the hell up.

Chesterfield is one of the only Yuengling products I will drink
the light Lager isn’t turrible, but the regular Lager is god awful
I would rank them as follows:
Black & Tan
Porter
Chesterfield
Light
-- this is there I stop drinking
Light Lager
Lager
Pretty sure I’ve never had the Premium

But Leake was a higher draft pick, therefore his stats are less impressive!

Leake had a chance to struggle last year, and he made adjustments
Wood is now more familiar to NL hitters, so he needs to make adjustments.
I don't argue I correct.

It's always good to have a drink with the Lord
Bart: "Dad, what's a Muppet?"
Homer: "Well, it's not quite a mop, not quite a puppet, but man... (laughs, then pauses) So, to answer you question, I don't know."

Agreed.
Bock is my favorite Yuengling beer.
What does a mama bear on the pill have in common with the World Series? No cubs.
I think Yuengling is insanely overrated.
I feel that about 90% of its allure is that it isn’t available in Ohio. I’m not saying its a bad beer, but the way people talk about it makes it sound like its Westvleteren 12.

it's allure is that it's cheap like budweiser & miller but infinitely better
it’s going to be available in ohio by the end of the year according the the yuengling twitter account
its none too bad
way better than the Hudy Gold/14K options.

My favorite brewery of late is Victory Brewing Company in Downingtown, PA.
I haven’t had a beer of theirs that I don’t like. The Golden Monkey is a damn fine Belgian ale. Also one of the better pils and lagers I’ve ever had. Their seasonal stuff is also really good, and I’m not typically big on Summer ales but the Summer Love Ale is worth checking out. They’re sold all over.

I just heard about the Summer Love.
Probably going out for a sixer of that once traffic dies down.

You should get the Yeungling Red Porter! It's kind of like Red Reporter!
I have no idea if it’s good or not, I just liked the name. Personally, I’m a fan of wussy beer like Miller Lite and Michelob Ultra.

I just don't like beer, so when I do drink it I drink pansy-ass beer
I much prefer hard liquor.
