- Louisville beat up on Indianapolis, 10-4. Dave Sappelt was 3-5 with a double and HR. He's now hitting .423 on the young season. Zack Cozart, Devin Mesoraco, and Daniel Dorn each had 2 hits. Mesoraco had 5 RBI and is OPSing 1.193 on the young season. Matt Klinker was just OK, going 5 IP and giving up 3 runs on 8 hits. Up Next: Chad Reineke tries to keep the win streak going at 7:05.
- Carolina couldn't overcome a 5 run deficit in the first inning and lost, 6-5. The team is now 1-5 on the year. Cody Puckett was 3-4 with a double, and Neftali Soto hit his first homer of the year. Daryl Thompson gave up 5 runs in 4 innings, but Brad Boxberger pitched 2 shutout innings with 2 Ks and Jose Arredondo struck out the side in a perfect inning of work. Nick Masset could be hearing footsteps soon..... Up Next: James Avery gets the start. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:43. WTF?
-
Bakersfield won 7-3 behind a solid start from Pedro Villareal. The young Texan went 6.1 IP allowing 3 runs on 6 hits while striking out 3. Lots of hitting in this one, but Eric Campbell was the star, going 2-4 with a double and home run. Up Next: Curtis Partch takes the hill at 10:05.
- Dayton got drubbed 13-1. This lineup hasn't hit like we'd hoped so far. After getting no hit 2 nights previous, in this game they only mustered 3 hits and two walks, while committing 3 errors in the field. (At least none of them were by Billy Hamilton). Speaking of Hamilton, he stole 2 more bases, bringing his season total to 8 in just 7 games. Oh, and the pitching sucked too. Up Next: Tanner Robles takes the hill at 7:00.
