Ramon A. Ramirez will play Korean League.

Hello , I'm baseball fan in South Korea.

I wrote the post about Jon Adkins, Justin Lehr, Tom Shearn played Korean Baseball League 2 years ago.

I remember BubbaFan, justin007000..etc.

Star-divide

In according to Korean Sports Media,  EX - Reds Ramon A. Ramirez  sign Doosan Bears in Korean League.

Doosan Bears are my favorite team.

I and my freinds, Bears fan are interested in Ramon A. Ramirez.

I know Ramon A. Ramirez played REDS AAA with Jon Adkins, Justin Lehr, Tom Shearn , Benjamin Jukich.

Benjamin Jukich signed LG Twins 1 month ago.

Doosan Bears & LG Twins share  the baseball stadium in Seoul.

Korean Baseball League is comprised 8 Teams.

Each team has 2 foreign players.

Doosan Bears (my favorite team) -  Justin Nippert (ex-Rangers), Ramon A. Ramirez

LG Twins - Benjamin Jukich, Radhames Liz (ex- Orioles)

Nexen Heroes - Brandon Knight, Cory Aldridge

Lotte Giants - Bryan Corey, Ryan Sadowski (Ex - SF Giatns)

Samsung Lions - Ryan Garko (Ex- Indians), Ken Kadokura

Kia Tigers - Aquilino Lopez (Ex-  Detroit Tigers),  Travis Blackley

Hanhwa Eagles - Julio DePaula, Oneli M. Perez

SK wyverns  - Jim Magrane, John Gary Glover (Ex - Rays)

Karim Garcia played Lotter Giants since 2008 season

Jerry Royster managed Lotter Giants 2009,2010 Season.

But, Royster left the team.

The team released Karim Garcia.

Yeah

I had a modicum of interest in him back then. I thought maybe he could make it as a #4 starter or something. Good luck, Ramon.

I saw him hit a couple of dingers in A ball once

He was still a catcher back then. Not sure if they moved him because Victor was blocking him or he just couldn’t handle it defensively, but his bat was supposed to play regardless. Aside from his first season it never really did, though.

Hey DemianBlue

I am looking to teach English in Korea for a year or two. I have a few questions for you.

I think there is a good chance I will end up in Incheon, does Incheon have a team or will I have to take the subway to Seoul?

When does the season occur?

Also how much are baseball tickets and are they easy to get?

Thanks for posting this and for remembering me.

Incheon have a team : SK Wyverns

SK Wyverns was 2007,2008,2010 Korean Series Champion.

It takes the subway to Seoul about 40~50 Minutes (SouthWest) , 1 Hour 30 ~40 Minutes(NorthEast)

Season start usually April first Weekend.

Baseball tickets are about $6 ~$11. easy to get it in ticket box.

You will have a blast

for sure. It’s real easy to move around on the sub/train. Free transfers. I live an hour or so north by train. Cheap, like under $1 a ride. You also get free transfers to the city bus. There is so much to do here it is incredable. You will enjoy it to the max once you get the feel of how to shoot, move and communicate over here.

Korean fans are seriously fanatical during playoffs. Tens of thousands constantly banging plactic stics together, constantly screaming at top of lungs, waving banners around, and the CHEERLEADERS, no lame stuff like we got in the States. 10,000 Korean fans make the noise of 100,000. Great atmosphere, you’ll LOVE it.

Enjoying

while I still have a chance to here. There are still a few 10,000s US people here as military or civilian working on the bases.
