Farmers Only: The season is winding down

Minor league seasons are officially over for Carolina, Lynchburg, Dayton, and the AZL team. Louisville starts the playoffs today, so that leaves only Billings having played last night.

The Mustangs won 3-0 behind another strong start from Kyle Lotzkar. KyLo threw 5 shutout innings, striking out 7. Yorman Rodriguez doubled, and Chris Berset singled and walked twice. Up Next: They play their last game of the season at 9:05.

Finally, good luck to the Bats as they begin their run to playoff glory! They'll get it started tonight at 6:05 with Chad Reineke on the hill.

I don't know. I mean, the BB/K ratios are really different, but if you compare age seasons

Hamilton was much better at age 19 in a higher league. Of course, the GULF league is a tough hitter’s league and the PIO league is a great one, but still. His SB rate is better, his power is better. It’s a very good comp, and it makes me even more excited about him.

I think you might be overstating the difference in age

I’m gonna guess that at age 19, Hamilton has had as much, if not more, quality instruction as Furcal at 20. It’s not like we’re talk about a 22-year old compared to a 18-year old. Either way, I think we agree that Hamilton looks gooo-oood!
