This Day in Reds History - October 1
On this date in 1965 Frank Robinson hit his 324th, and last, home run as a Red as the Reds slayed the Giants 17-2.
Robinson had three hits, three RBI and three runs scored to lead a 21 hit attack. An "old" Robinson would be traded during the off-season to Baltimore for Milt Pappas. Frank left the Reds as their all time leader in Home Runs, RBI, Runs scored, Doubles, Walks, Strikeouts, HBP, and Sacrifice Flies. Yeah, he was pretty freaking good. And for the record he led the AL in just about everything the next season. He was the Reds career leader in home runs when he was traded.

That hat looks great
even though it’s not the wishbone-C. I didn’t understand why Robinson was left off the RedsLand Forever illustration.
Yeah, those guys and the Cincinnati Reds. They're a terrible football team. / Because they're a baseball team? / Exactly. You know who's the worst football team? The Philadelphia Flyers. - Best Show
