Better fucking hit the ball, Juan

Still the Reds will not beat the Yanks in the WS if they continue to be intimidated this way.

But I’m sure it wasn’t his decision.

Really, how bad was this loss?

They only beat us by one and they purposely saved their best pitching for this series. So, was it that bad?

by march301 on Sep 3, 2010 10:48 PM EDT reply actions

Bad.

This is the series to put the Cardinals out of their misery, not let them hang around.

Gomes baserunning gaffe and janish inability to get a bunt down cost the reds.

by BubbaFan on Sep 3, 2010 11:44 PM EDT up reply actions

I was thinking that the bunt SIGN is what cost the reds.

It really handicapped Janish’s at bat. Dusty was playing for two outs to get the run in instead of one hit. I don’t like that. The runner was in scoring position. Knock him in.

I think with Gomes and Fransisco

the team seems to be in love with the big swing
I like complete players

by Eastwindquinn on Sep 3, 2010 11:02 PM EDT up reply actions

at the moment

They really don’t have a choice. Bruce is injured, Edmonds and Nix are on the DL. They only have three healthy OFers, and Gomes is one of them.

All Things Bubba: Because how can you not love a baseball player named Bubba?

by BubbaFan on Sep 3, 2010 11:07 PM EDT up reply actions

I dunno

Seemed to me like Gomes was playing less, until Edmonds and Nix were injured.

Dusty was also using Heisey as a LIDR for Gomes.

All Things Bubba: Because how can you not love a baseball player named Bubba?

by BubbaFan on Sep 3, 2010 11:11 PM EDT up reply actions

Gomes is the new PaTaveras.

…and that is a good indication as to why this team is so much better than those of the previous years: our worst player is still somewhat productive (he at least hit the double and then got thrown out at 3rd).

Tanzen!

this reminds me of that Garcia game in May

we lost 3-2 in that I think as wlel, or maybe 4-3. It got close at the end but Ramon grounded into a game ending double play. Hopefully, tomorrow we can play like we did in teh Civil Rights game and the following game.

This game was more upsetting to me than it should be, but that is 4 straight losses to the Cardinals That can’t continue!

by Red_Poodle on Sep 3, 2010 11:53 PM EDT reply actions

It's that they showed they were better team

by creating more winning chances, yet seemingly mind-fucked by the cardinals.

by Eastwindquinn on Sep 3, 2010 11:58 PM EDT up reply actions

Meh

I’ve prepared for the sweep already, so this loss is nothing.

Go get ’em tomorrow.
