Your Second Favorite 2010 Moment
I know your favorite moment of 2010 was when Jay Bruce hit that long fly to deep center field to secure the 2010 NL central division. This was a magical, and mostly unexpected season, so there are lots of excellent choices. So lets create a highlight thread of the best moments of the best Reds season in quite some time.

Votto v Broxton
maybe not my pick for second favorite moment, but I loved every second of that AB. Chapman’s debut might have to be my pick here.
That's definitely my second favorite moment.
I definitely scared some people when I was jumping around and screaming after that play.

I agree, second favorite moment, it was a HOLY SHIT moment like last night.
I think Travis Woods’ Near Perfect Game was 3rd. I know we lost, but I was rushing from my car to the house, to BWW doing everything I could to soak in every pitch. It felt as magical as the top 2 plays.

When Votto hit the tying three run homer against the Phils
I know It didn’t end up mattering, but I saw it live, and Thom and Chris are just about the happiest I’ve ever heard them. 2nd greatest Reds homer I’ve seen live this year
"Fuck it, we'll do it live."
Chapman's debut, Tubby's GW homer, Votto's GW homer, Votto vs. Broxton, Gomes' GW homer in the 3rd(?) game, one of the 8 plays BP has made on the left side of 2B
So many to choose from……man this has been a fun year.

Jay Bruce's game-saving catch just last week. That was incredible.
Also, it’s not in the conversation for #2 of the whole year, but I want to honorably mention the National League’s first All-Star win in 14 years as a great moment of 2010.

this was mine as well-saving CoCo's ass.
with Joeh’s at bat against Broxton while listening to Vin Scully describe it.
Hmm. I, I, I don't know. I mean, I guess, I sorta like 'em all.
I celebrate the team’s entire catalog.

A couple more
The first Reds game I went this season was a May businessman special against Milwuakee.
Rolen was off that day because he can’t be seen in daylight. But the Reds down 4-2 with one runner on, Rolen was called upon to pinch hit, and he hit a game tying home run. Shortly after Votto hit a walk off single.
Joey Votto is my MVP.
You know what other moment I really like?
This one. I don’t care if the whole world knows. I loved the excitement.

Wow...I've been lucky this year.
What's the score here? What's next?
woops..
didn’t mean to send that so quickly.
Anyway, I’ve been lucky this year. I was in attendance the clinch ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6s8JokaZ-0 ) <—— my video…coupld F bombs near the end, sorry, I was wasted.
I was in the sun/moon deck for Bruce’s game saving catch (didn’t look like it was gonna be a home run as much as TV made it appear so, still don’t know if that was going out).
Was in attendance for Chapmans debut.
Was in attendance for the Civil Rights game, and the relay.
Obviously, I saw some L’s as well…but damn, looking back. That’s a helleva list for someone not employed by the team.
I’d rank them as follows:
1. Jay Bruce, obviously. 2nd best game I’ve ever been to, and really its first best in terms of personal rememberance. #1 is game 6 of the ’90 NLCS, I was 9 and I knew what was going on, but not like with Bruce.
2. Civil Rights Game…sell out, loud crowd…one of the best finishes to a game I’ve ever been in attendance to see (up to that point)
3. Chapman’s Debut…just the buzz of that crowd was cool to feel…and then he was even better than I thought he could be.
4. Bruce’s catch….first off, we had a three run lead in the 9th. Secondly, we had 2 outs and a runner on first, fans weren’t exactly on the edge of their seats against Arizona that night. And honestly, the ball looked WAAAAY to high to go out…but the thing just kept carrying, and carrying. From the Sun/Moon deck and having a perfect angle to look at it, if a gun was put to my head I’d say it wouldn’t have gone out. But those TV replays sure as shit make it look like it was.
What a year….
What's the score here? What's next?
Votto's HR on the first pitch against some Cub scrub lefty reliever that Lou brought in
Back in April, I believe. It tied the game, I think. The look on Votto’s face gives me the chills when I think about it. It was the first time that I realized Votto knew inside that he was capable on putting the team on his back.
Third is Chapman’s debut, although that 2-inning performance against the Padres was incredible.
Fourth might be Stubbs’ robbing of Carlos Lee the other night.
Fifth might be Stubbs’ grand slam in April.
There have been some great moments that seemingly happen every night. I missed the civil rights game. I was following on my phone and was really confused by the ending. Saw the highlights later.

My second favorite Reds moment was having jch call me after Bruce's walkoff..
He was so fired up and if I’m not misled somewhat in his cups…but as always a class, class act.

I would have to go back to May for my second favorite moment
My family, who never gets to see major league games living in Iowa and all, came with me to the Sunday afternoon game in mid-May to see the Cardinals. We saw a complete game from Bronson and that was the game that propelled the Reds into first place for the first time of the season. My family, none of them Reds fans, were cheering loudly for a Reds win.
I remember watching the standings flip on the pole in right field, and hoping against hope it would still look like that at the end of the year.
My reasons are definitely personal, but that was a hell of a game for me.
Finally, if you will permit me, I'd like to make a comment which in my mind, is indicative, perhaps, of the greater significance of football and sports emphasis in general in this country, and that is, I thank God I was warring on the gridirons of the Midwest and not on the battlefields of Europe. that was good.

like 103 or 108 days. Previous, I think, was 96.

Mine seems odd
Just had a discussion on “when did you realize this year was different?”.
Mine was just before the all star break. It was a four game losing streak, but the Reds were super competitive with the Phillies that week. My favorite series to watch even though, as I said, they lost all four. I knew it was different.
