This Day in Reds History - September 11
On this date in 1985 Cincinnati beat San Diego 2-0.
Tom Browning went 8 and one third innings in out dueling Eric Show in front of a crowd of 47,237. As a side note the player who shall never be recognized by Major League Baseball (except for tonight) became the all time hit leader in MLB history, surpassing Ty Cobb, when he singled into left field breaking Cobb's 57 year old record.

When is the next parole hearing for Pete?
If a guy hits .300 every year, what does he have to look forward to? I always tried to stay around .190, with three or four RBI. And I tried to get them all in September. That way I always had something to talk about during the winter.

Hopefully soon
Last summer it was reporterted that Pete make another public apology before it would happen. Well the from the clips I saw from Saturday certainly should go along way toward that. I really felt like that was the sincerest I have ever seen Rose since this has happened. And even if Selig reinstates him at this point I think it would be up to the veterans committee to enshrine him.
