Looking for an addicting hobby?

Then you will love What if Sports and Hardball Dynasty. Better game engine and 29 other human managers. My "world" is going to need new players in a couple of weeks (it's name is "Fisk"). I'd encourage any of you guys or gals to go and check it out. It's almost as addicting as watching the Reds. http://www.whatifsports.com/

If any mods feel this is inappropriate, I understand.

The game needs new managers who like baseball and understand the rules and I couldn’t think of any other way to bring this up

Nah, it's fine where it is

There really isn’t a better online multiplayer baseball game out there. I’ve played in a few different leagues, and while at first it is pretty time consuming, it is a pretty good time.

I've looked at that a few times before.

What’s the cost like?

It cost $25 per season, although you can volume discounts ($89 for 4 seasons)

Season lasts about three months or so. Your franchise plays, on average, three times a day and replicates an entire 162 game season. If you want to look at my league, I know there’s an owner who is leaving a pretty good ML team behind. The Jacksonville franchise….

I already have an addicting hobby...The FMM

Nay more than a hobby…all encompassing way of life..

you are too cool for school, Daedalus

So, spill the beans, how did you get Jocketty’s cell number? How did you make him ditch Dickerson for a re-tread? You are not only too cool, but you’re some sort of Svengali!

Not interested in starting a debate over which is best, but

A big fan and longtime player at ImagineSports myself. It is now known as Rob Neyer Baseball. I would suggest that anyone check it out as well if interested in such things. Similar costs. Also a 162-game season. Uses a game engine developed from Tom Tippett’s Diamond Mind Baseball. I find it the most realistic game out there. But I respect others who feel the same way about their game. Just Google imagine sports or Rob Neyer baseball.

I never tried it (or heard of). I will gladly check it out, Jasper

Maybe I can get a franchise there and you can get a franchise at WIS and we can both benefit!

Thanks

I played a little at WIS a few years ago. Not interested in going back. We have a lot of former WIS players on teh ImagineSports site. One reason you may not have heard of it is because there probably aren’t too many former ImagineSports players going elsewhere. Since price is comparable, that might tell you something about the quality of the game experience for most of us.

If you do buy a team at Imagine Sports, you can get an additional free team if we both email their support department and tell them you were referred by me. I get credit for about half a team. Check it out. If you don’t join, or if you prefer to continue at WIS, then I wish you many years of enjoyment and countless World Series Championships!

And if you do join, email me at fob0599@aol.com so I can send in the referral for your free team.
