Louisville lost to Columbus 9-8 to break their 11 game winning streak. They had a big offensive output from Todd Frazier, who went 3-for-4 with a homer and 4 RBI, and Michael Griffin, who went 3-for-4 with 2 solo homers. Matt Maloney got rocked in his start, giving up 7 runs in 5 innings, but left with a lead. Jason Isringhausen and Enerio Del Rosario pitched scoreless innings before Danny Ray Herrera came in to close it out. Drunky Ray gave up 2 runs in the 9th to earn his first blown save of the year. Up next: The Bats start a new series with Norfolk at 7:05. No starter has been announced yet.

Carolina beat Huntsville in 10 innings, 10-9. Eric Eymann had 3 hits and drove in 4 runs, and Matt Klinker had a tough outing, giving up 6 runs in 5 innings. Luckily their bullpen is better, with Brad Boxberger pitching his 2nd scoreless apperance in 12 in AA to get the win. Up next: Scott Carroll takes on Huntsvillle at 8.

Dayton got spanked by Lake County 8-2. Mark Fleury had two hits, including a homer, but it was another bullpen loss, with Kevin Arico giving up 5 unearned runs. Up next: Ricky Bowen takes on Lake County at 7.

Billings won a pitchers' duel 1-0 behind only one hit by Danny Hernandez. D-Her drove in the only run of the game with a single, and the Mustangs were held hitless after that. Their pitching staff held Helena to only 4 hits, with Daniel Corcino pitching a brilliant outing with 6 innings pitched with 2 hits, 2 walks, and a season-high 8 strikeouts. Pat Doyle and Josh Smith added scoreless outings to preserve a win. Up next: Starlin Gerson gets the ball against Helena at 9:05.
