- Louisville won 5-1 against Indy. Jeremy Horst got the start after Sam LeCure got the call to the big club, and stepped in admirably with 4 innings of shutout ball. But the big story in this one was Wladimir Balentien, who was 3-for-4 with 2 homers and 4 RBI, bringing his total to 24 on the season. That's good for 3rd in the league. Could that have been useful in the Reds' comeback efforts last night? Yonder Alonso had 2 hits as well, Lee Tabor pitched 2 shutout innings for the win, and Danny Ray Herrera pitched 2 shutout innings for the save. Up next: At home against Columbus at 7:05, no starter listed yet, but it should be the newly promoted Matt Klinker.
- Carolina's bullpen lost them a close one, 5-4. Travis Webb gave up 1 run in 6 innings before Abe Woody came in and gave up 4 runs in 1 1/3. Carlos Mendez and Mike Costanzo were 2-for-4. Up next: James Avery takes on Birmingham at 7:15.
- Lynchburg won a rain-shortened game 5-0. Josh Ravin was good in his start, going 5 2/3 innings of shutout ball, giving up only 4 hits. Josh Fellhauer and Kevin Coddington had multi-hit games, and Blair Carson pitched 2 hitless frames for the save. Up next: A doubleheader tonight with Winston-Salem starts at 6:05, with Pedro Villarreal and Justin Walker listed as the starters.
- Dayton beat Lake County 11-5. Josh Garton and Didi Gregorius had 3 hits each to lead the offense, and Dominic D'Anna was 2-for-4 with 4 RBI. Up next: South Bend at 6:30, no starter listed.
- Billings got killed by Ogden 13-5. No pitching performance is really worth writing about, so I'll mention Stephen Hunt's home run. STEVE HUNT! Up next: Tanner Robles gets Ogden at 9:05.
- The AZL Reds were off. They'll take on the AZL Brewers tonight at 10.
