I have seen lots of talk on Red Reporter about trading for Cliff Lee or Stephen Drew. Who do posters want the most? Please post your rationale so we can generate some discussion.
I would like to see the Reds acquire Stephen Drew first and foremost. I'm not sure about his contract specifics but he seems to be a promising player in his peak years who would certainly be a step up from Orlando Cabrera. I know the Reds would have to give up some young talent, but not near as much as they would have to give up for Lee. I think the pitching in general will rebound in the 2nd half while the defense could use an improvement and another offensive weapon would be much appreciated.
In addition, I would like to see Chris Heisey get more playing time in the outfield, especially over Jonny Gomes who frequently frustrates me with his outfield play. Heisey could be an integral part of the franchise's future and I would like to see Dusty ease him into a platoon or starting role.
