This is a letter of explanation to those involved in the Red Reporter Death Match as to why I've not been able to do anything for the last several weeks.  The gist: CBSSports.com sucks.  Full explanation after the jump.

I've had my complaints with CBSSports.com in the past through the first half of the season.  For example, I was often unable to drop/add anyone from my roster on a normal web browser.  To do this, I've had to use my iphone app to drop players or add free agents.  A nuisance, but at least I could manage my team (except for relief pitchers - the app never worked when trying to look at free agent relief pitchers).

The real problem, however, is that a month ago I started a new job and was issued a new laptop.  Since that time, I've been completely unable to login to my CBS account.  Whenever I've entered my username and password, I get this handy little message that says they're unable to "validate my login" and I should try again in 5 minutes.  I've tried pretty much every day.

Maybe I forgot my username or password.  That's possible.  But clicking on "forgot log-in?" yields a broken page.  Click on "forgot password?" and you get another broken page.  Clicking the "help" button produces a handy little pop-up filled with pre-written questions, none of which resemble mine, and pre-written responses, none of which address this problem.

Maybe I should submit a questions to customer support.  A good idea.  Except that one has to be logged in to ask a specific question.  But I'm not sure it would have mattered.  I had submitted a question about my little add/drop problem earlier in the season and never received a reply.

So anyway, I'm sorry to the other combatants in the RR Death Match.  I'm tapping out.  Too bad, 'cause I was pumped about this being a keeper league.
