This Day in Reds History - Juy 21


On this date in 2006 the Reds beat the Brewers 6-5.

Ken Griffey Jr. singled with one out in the bottom of the ninth to score Scott Hatteberg and Ryan Freel to give the Reds the come from behind win. The Reds entered the frame down by a 5-3 score. Brandon Phillips singled to start the inning and advanced to second following a walk to Hatteberg. DeWayne Wise then dropped a sac bunt to advance both runners. Freel then walked to load the bases. Javier Valentin, aka LLM, then walked to force in Phillips. Griffey then ended it with a walk off single.
