As far as playing time, I expect BP to see the most of the group. Votto probably takes over DH in the late innings, probably expect just one at bat. I’m hoping Rolen doesn’t play at all, to be honest. I have to imagine Dusty impressed upon to Charlie “Please don’t use Scotty” to which, Manuel replied “I like pudding”.

Derek Jeter was drafted in 1992. Jim Bowden became Reds GM in 1992 – was it at the end of 1992? So Bob Quinn drafted Mottola instead of Jeter? Darn it, I thought I had a great comeback for some dumb thing Leatherpants tweeted, and he DM’d me and said it wasn’t him who drafted Mottola.

I sort of dislike the way she's written
“I’m a sassy black girl!” but without much depth, other than a couple throw away plots about body image and tolerance.

I would agree with this, except that's true of all the characters except Rachel, Finn, and Kurt.

really, the show has a ton of characters
it only has about 40 minutes each week of actual show. It also has to fit in 4-5 songs per week. That doesn’t leave a lot of time for character development. the worst shows were the ones that featured the kids. they need to focus the storylines on the teachers, and have the kids there to sing.
Watching the MLB network first half review reminded me of how many games the Reds came back from and blown this season

It’s somewhat sciencey but in a way that’s fun for kids. It has dinosaurs and a train, so young boys automatically love it. Not sure if girls dig it though.

All kinds of evidence suggests that the Japanese were originally Korean. But the idea is so controversial over there that many Japanese scientists don’t want their names on the papers when they’re published.
I had a Korean friend in college. She had a roommate who was American of Japanese ancestry. When her mom found out, she called student housing and demanded that they be separated.

but their was a Japanese archeologist who killed himself over an archeology scandal. He buried Japanese artifacts deeper than Korean artifacts, so Korea appeared to be older.

good to see the NL win
and the bit of post game I weatched, they were talking more about Rolen than McCann! Rolen scared me alot when he went first to thrd, but it was impressive.
I was sad to see that Rhodes did not pitch and Votto didn’t get a hit, but that bum Howard didn’t and Albert didn’t get any either. Nor did Gonzalez (I think). Would hav ebeen nice to see him hit, though.
Overall, a pretty pleasant expereince for the Reds, I think. Rolen and Phillips bnoth made good defensive plays and Rolen contributed offensively. I bet the Cardinals fans were wondering what it would be like to have Rolen and Holliday in the same Cards lineup when they singled back to back.

and saw this quote from Votto about Byrd’s play:
"I don’t like the Cubs," Votto said. "And I’m not going to pat anybody with a Cubs uniform on the back. But because he made that really cool play, it turned out to be a really cool experience. I’m really glad we got the win today."

Great game
I had no idea that all-star games were a lot more fun if you have multiple players from your favorite team (the Reds!!!) playing. Truly a revelation.
Also, Tim McCarver is awful. FJM could have gotten a week’s worth of material from him.
If you're not having fun, stop participating.
It was a fun game.
However the announcers wee extraordinarily horrible.
Though some might argue that "best utility player" is a contradiction in terms.
