This Day in Reds History - June 6



On this day in 2002 Ken Griffey Jr. hit a home run to lead the Reds over the Cardinals 3-2.

 

Griffey hit the 462nd home run of his career in the 4th inning against Woody Williams. Jimmy Haynes got the win for Cincinnati and Danny Graves picked up his 18th save of the season.

Griffey would end up with 210 home runs, in 945 games, in his Reds career good enough for 7th on the Reds all time list.
