On this day in 2004 Ken Griffey Jr. became the 20th player in history to hit 500 career home runs
Griffey homered off Matt Morris to lead the Reds to a victory 6-0 over the Cardinals. Jung Bong was the winning pitcher. Jason LaRue also went deep for the Reds.
