Farmers Only: Draft picks sign, and everyone wins!
- Draft stuff: The big news of the day is that the Reds have signed 14 of their 50 draft picks from the 2010 class. 2nd rounder Ryan LaMarre remains the highest pick signed, and is the only to be assigned so far, to Dayton. Two other names that stand out are Jose Amezcua (7th round), the lone high schooler signed so far, and David Vidal (8th round), a big bat who was signed away from a D-1 commitment out of Miami-Dade CC. The other picks signed are SS Devin Lohman (3rd), SS Brodie Greene (4th), LHP Tanner Robles (9th), RF Stephen Hunt (15th), LF Robert Maddox (18th) (yep, a Bobcat), CF Kurtis Muller (22nd), RHP Patrick Doyle (24th), 3B Adam Muenster (29th), 1B Dominic D'Anna (31st), LHP Matthew Leonard (38th), and RHP El'Hajj Muhammad (49th). They're all college guys, and most of these guys will end up in Billings to start the season.
- Louisville beat Pawtucket 6-5. Matt Maloney got the start, and got knocked around but kept the damage to a minimum, giving up 3 ER on 11 hits in 5 1/3 innings. Jesus Delgado and Joe Krebs pitched scoreless innings out of the bullpen, and Jon Adkins eked out the save. Chris Burke went 3-for-4 and was a double away from the cycle, while driving in 4 runs, and Chris Denove had 3 hits too. Yonder Alonso was 2-for-4 with 2 RBI. Up next: Travis Wood gets Pawtucket next at 7:05.
- Carolina won 6-3 on a solid start by Matt Fairel. Matt went 5 1/3 innings and gave up 1 ER. Devin Mesoraco hit his 4th HR in AA, and Mike Costanzo went deep for his 4th of the year as well, a 3-run shot. Sean Danielson went 2-for-4. Up next: The Mudcats are off today.
- Lynchburg was off. Brad Boxberger will take on Kinston at 7:05.
- Dayton was also off. Ricky Bowen takes on Fort Wayne at 7:05.

RHP El'Hajj Muhammad (49th)
I can’t find any bio on El’Hajj Muhammad, but I’m guessing he’s Egyptian-American, does anyone know? I wonder if he’d be the first professional Egyptian-heritage baseball player.
Be his friend on facebook and ask him!

Reds Pitdhing
The Reds are in need of middle relievers Badly!! And Harrang is broken, they have better starters then him sitting!! Trade him for more power, and better relievers !!! Sometimes Dusty isnt the brightest light in the house !!! Have to do something if they want to make the playoffs
