M's-Cards: I Know You're Watching
Tonight, inter-league play blesses us with another blood-feud in the making: The Seattle Mariners at the St. Louis Cardinals. It's ol' Adam Wainwright vs. some left handed slab of meat whose teammates almost certainly affectionately call him Frenchy. He's already being pummeled about, but the M's have scored some runs as well. 3-2 Cards is the score after two full frames, and the game is on ESPN.
Picture unrelated.
As a Redlegs enthusiast, you have an obligation to tune in and root, root, root for your Seattle Mariners! Let's get em, boys!

Maloney in a little trouble in Rhode Island.
This team wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for all the losing.

So Harpoon makes this "big bohemian pilsner"
I definitely did not realize it was 9% ABV.

TLR apparently got on Colby after a play in the Reds’ series, where he jaked it going after a Rolen single.
wow, he had time to jack it
and Rolen still couldn’t get to second?

wow
I didn’t realize there was that much bad blood between Griffey and the Mariners.
All Things Bubba: Because how can you not love a baseball player named Bubba?
So I hardly ever pay attention to the American League
but I thought the Mariners were supposed to be good this year. I mean, isn’t that why they traded for Cliff Lee?

They were a sexy pre-season darkhorse
Mainly built on defense. But you’ve got to have some hitting. They’re second to last in runs because Figgins hasn’t hit yet and they get terrible production at the infield corners. Ichiro’s got only 28 runs so far, and he’s had a good year.
nothing they did worked out
The moves they made…well, what happened with Griffey says it all. They made what seemed to be good moves, but none of them have worked out. The pieces they got just didn’t seem to fit in.
All Things Bubba: Because how can you not love a baseball player named Bubba?
he had a pretty nice 2007.

Does the guy ever do much
except with pitches down and in? Don’t give him something to hit down and in.
The Seattle radio announcer is getting so excited about the Cards' offense
that I actually had to double check I wasn’t listening to the Cardinal feed. It’s practically George Grande-esque.

Of course he’s 2-2 with a run scored.

I guess the Cubs or Brewers could get hot
but I’m just hoping the Reds find a way to play .550 ball for the season (as opposed to the .463 ball I think they’ll play)

How are they making room for him?
All Things Bubba: Because how can you not love a baseball player named Bubba?
weird choice if true
His numbers aren’t that impressive, considering he’s in AA.
All Things Bubba: Because how can you not love a baseball player named Bubba?
If the Reds really have called him up, they could be banking on his GB rate translating to success with their infield because there is little else in his current numbers to instill confidence in him at the MLB level.

It's from MLB Trade Rumors Reds twitter feed
Found here:
Reds called up reliever Jordan Smith from Double A, MLBTR has learned.
As far as I can tell, that is the only origin for this rumor.

It’s weird that none of the beat guys are reporting this. Between Ben Jukich’s playing around and this, I think Twitter is messing with me.
are you saying that Twitter might contain some falsehoods?
