PrintThere's still three hours left until the underdog of all underdogs takes the court, but only a half hour or so before the 2nd round Saturday games tip off. Some folks are probably spring cleaning, others may be at work, and then there are the lucky parents who made the most of this weather and went to Chuck E Cheese's. They are truly the lucky ones. Not quite as lucky as the parents going to the local Yo Gabba Gabba shows this afternoon (and missing the Reds on MLB Network/March Madness) but lucky nonetheless.
Ok, that should be enough words to post this bad boy. Time to put on some Albert King/Stevie Ray Vaughn on the stereo, place my order for 100 wings and tumble dry the kiddo's Ohio gear. O-H......I-O! (Since 1804)

If this were baseball or football, the rules would become more defined as to what actually is a foul, and there’d be video replay of every possession. But somehow the “get the call right” and “technology improves the game” nazis have not bothered with basketball.

i really hate blown calls
i’m all for replay in basketball.
Also, I’ve heard 3 different explanations from announcers in this tournament about charges underneath the basket. some claim the refs are supposed to imagine a line under the goal and call it like the NBA. Others say the rule doesn’t apply at all, and another said it should be a no call
What drives me nuts
is that Nova just did the same thing to St. Mary’s and it was a no call. Call it the same way, please; don’t make it look like you’re trying to get Nova to win just because you want to win the office pool.

They’re definitely more athletic, but Scheyer-Smith-Singler is a backcourt group I’d put up against anybody.
Syracuse’s zone may be tough, but I can’t see the Orange scoring with them. West Virginia, however, with their physical defense, I can see them getting in Kentucky’s head.
