A small but fervent group of RRs were on hand at Myoka (Ky's version of BenniHaHa) to wish obc Happy #40.
In attendance:

'tHan (tall and nerdlike)
obc's sister (Hard to believe a woman than pretty is related to obc)

I have to digress and tell it like it is. tHan is a nice fellow, a really good guy, bright and hardworking, well spoken and knowledgeable about a wide variety of topics. However, tHan is a tall nerdly looking goofball...and this should give all you other goofy looking unattached doofuses in RR land hope..why you ask...the answer is Chandra. Erudite, charming, exceedingly attractive and quick with her wit. As at home discussing the Love Song of J. Aflred Pufrock as she is bantering about the Thursday night TV comedy line-up...
Just think if tHan can (by the mere virtue of being a Red Reporter) win the love of such a goddess...think what may come your way!
And I seated next to Ash and the Peach...well I was guilty of having a nearly impure thought and almost accidentally ate raw fish to cover my chagrin..but that's another story.
The birthday party continues as I write this update..I went home after dinner to hang living room curtains w/the FMM.
So rock on RRs and many more happy returns obc.

I was distracted...
It was really nice to be at the table with all these nerdy guys especially because all of the women at the table were super hot…take that George Clooney…he wishes he were sitting next to Ash at Mylaki…

On a serious note
obc is damned good people, period. If you’ve not had the chance to meet and befriend him yet, do so.
As fault-ridden as the rest of us, obc makes no excuses and “is who he is”. There’s something to be said for this. His straightforward, sometimes misguided opinions are entertaining if nothing else. Loving Adam Rosales and Bronson Arroyo, he always favors guys who play the game the right way.
Now for the serious part – I can’t adequately express my gratitude to him for the kind ear he’s provided when I’ve needed to vent, or the sage advice he has given me in times of trouble. While all of you (even you, Justin) have helped me get through the hardest stretch of my life by providing a distraction to the very real troubles I’ve dealt with, obc has been there to go grab a beer and listen to me ramble for a half hour about nothing at all. Do you have any idea how hard it is to explain to your family that you feel better about things because you talked to your internet friend? I do.
For this, I’m incredibly grateful. I never could have imagined I would have met someone online and consider them a “best friend”. By dumb luck, I can count at least 5 of you in this category. But only one of you turned 40 this weekend, so I salute him individually.
Stand tall Bill, you deserve it Sir.
