When will the Allstar Game be held at Great American??

The last time the Reds held an all star game was 1988. Its been 22 years and there are only 30 teams in the MLB. Shouldn't we get the all star game within the next 8 years. I know a committee selects the venue. Great American is a new stadium though. Just wondered what your thoughts were?

...Nick Masset Rules, just now putting all them starting pitcher different pitches into one with control. Do it Masset!!

About the same time

US hosts a world cup, cubs win a world series, bengals win a super bowl, bcs bowl system becomes extinct. Yeah, sometime around there.

ASG at the GASP

… is this something that’s a mildy important issue, an impeding social crisis or a gritty nail-biting trauma-inducing disaster?

I need to know if I should buy more stamps.

Knowing Selig, the 2017 ASG

will be in Tokyo, at the roots of where baseball got its start in 1978.

Actually, I think a MLB v. NPB midsummer all-star contest would be really cool and great marketing

The ASG can never mean what it used to because of free agency and a whole bunch of other reasons. I still like it, but I’m not opposed to scrapping it for something different. Kinda doubt the union would go for this, though.

I agree

Ever since the kids from Sumatra were able to download 23,000 votes for Carlos Felicidad Jones as their favorite shortstop, the game itself took on a new meaning. But getting to see the local heroes in the spotlight is fun for the evening.

I don’t remember the last time I actually watched the game, owing to having my back to the TV when I am at work.

It’s a global event, so making it exciting is still useful. Lots of other things in baseball need fixing first. The ASG can survive on its own merits.

I can't be sure now

I think that giant wave sent part of it to Thailand, and the rest of it just ended up in the Indian Ocean. I know this: I wish I was 25 again, I would love to explore those islands.

I thought we were excited

for random “NL central v. AL Central” mid-season tournaments using the whole 40-man or other somesuch fantasy playouts.

But, I mean, yeah. NPB would be cool too if they didn’t p0wn during WBC.

so if you could choose

any player on the Reds roster, 40-man included, to use as your sign-in name, what are the odds you would choose Nick Masset?
