BA on Daryl Thompson, END, etc.
Since things are a might slow in the old Hot Stove League at the moment, and anticipation of the Winter Meetings continues to stoke the fire, may I offer a Baseball America Reds update, via our friend John Fay?
Maybe Daryl Thompson really does have a shot at making it in the Reds bullpen. The club appears pleased with the former Expo/Nat after his performance in the AFL. Also, Juan Francisco is tearing up the Dominican Winter League, again, which is terrific but not necessarily an indicator of MLB success.
As an added bonus, Mr. Fay notes that the Reds have yet to announce their minor league field staff assignments, except for Louisville.

Well, crap. Slyde's leaving has me all flustered.
Anyway, the story says that Thompson’s recovered from his injury and threw well in the AFL. The Reds are glad they stuck with him and are excited about his prospects of competing for a roster spot in spring training.
So, there.

Francisco is having a strong winter.
He leads the league in hits, with 41. He is second in slugging, at .567. He’s also second in extra-base hits, with 17, and third in home runs with seven. Francisco also leads the league with 31 strikeouts.

I think you have to write a book to get that channel.

I thought you could get it online through university internet services. So you're probably one of the few that can.
This team wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for all the kipper-snacks.
Here:
ESPN3 is available free to fans accessing the site from a college campus network in the United States or from a military base in the United States.

I can always watch it between classes though.
I’ve got enough on my plate when I’m at home anyway.

I am able to watch it from home if I log into the University VPN
As long as I am on the VPN, I look like I’m on campus, so if you are able to access a University VPN that should work.
