Reds minor leaguers to have hot summer in Bakersfield
Just a little FYI. Cincinnati agreed on a 2-year contract with the Bakersfield Blaze of the California League. Sam Lynn Ball Park is 60+ years old. It was built with batters facing the sun, so games usually don't start until after 8 p.m. It's brutal for a minor leaguer but I will say, it's been great to watch a lot of young talent from the Rangers organization come through, including our own Edinson Volquez and Danny Ray Herrera.
If I'm still here, I'll be able to help with any Down on the Farm updates.

The California League.
Have mercy. The hitters will love it. Pitchers will detest it. It’s the minor league I like least because of the way it wildy favors hitters.

Wasn't Buck Owens born, raised, incarcerated and buried there?
