Reminder: Bats begin playoff series tonight in Durham
The Reds AAA affiliate takes on the Rays AAA team, starting tonight in Durham. If you want to check out some excellent minor league baseball, there's no better chance. Travis Wood takes on Jeremy Hellickson tonight, and Ben Jukich and Sam LeCure will pitch the remaining two games. If you're watching on MiLB.TV, listening on the radio or internet, or going to the game, you'll see plenty of Reds prospects. Yonder Alonso joined the team today, and Jay Bruce will play with the Bats in this first round series, along with prospects Todd Frazier, Juan Francisco, and Chris Heisey. RR favorite Joe "The Cycle" Krebs has also joined the team over the weekend, and will play with them through the playoffs.
It's nice to have be able to root for a winning team, so give the Bats your support! Also, if you're in Louisville for Friday night's game, let us know, as Slyde, jsl413, and I will all be in attendance. Come say hi!

Is anybody going to this?
I’m considering it. I leave town tomorrow, though, so it’s probably a stupid move.
Then again, I’ve never let that stop me before…
Let me write out a formal proof for you.
I'll be there with my brother-in-law on Friday
Assuming that I don’t have to work and such. We have seats behind home plate, should be awesome!

We will be behind home plate as well
stalking you.
She said, "You don't even buy me presents." Yeah I did. I bought you a box of chicken but I ate it on the way home.
This scares me
but only slightly

She said, "You don't even buy me presents." Yeah I did. I bought you a box of chicken but I ate it on the way home.
go for it
You’ll be home before midnight, even if the game goes to extras.
All Things Bubba: Because how can you not love a baseball player named Bubba?
yonder will be there
as will bruce, at least through the durham series. hanigan was sent back to cincinnati.
What do you mean, "blank slate"?
mmmm
Heisey
Frazier
Bruce
Alonso
Francisco
Valaika
Dorn
I just wish Wood was pitching on Friday and I’d be a happy man.

That's a killer starting lineup.
And outfield of Dorn-Heisey-Bruce and an infield of Francisco-Valaika-Frazier-Alonso is a murderer’s row. And we’ll get LeCure on the mound, who will hopefully be trying to going for the sweep of the series…

No Hanigan, right?
So does that mean there’s a chance that Craig Tatum gets shipped back to Louisville if Ryan joins the Reds?
Not sure on the ability to make those moves, or if the Reds will just keep 3 catchers and watch the Bats play with 7 position players.
Any ideas?
Set the gearshift to the high gear of your soul.

I think Tatum will stay with the Reds
Dusty has already said he wants three catchers, like everyone else.
The catcher will probably be Chris Denove, who’s had a solid year in AA and AAA (.279/.347/.411)

I'd drive down to catch it but tonights bowling night
One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor.

Yeah, Durham's a little bit out of your way
