I did some research on this song
It first was heard on Russian radio stations in 2002. The company that produced it and the artist that made it have never been heard of, and didn’t do anything before this song, or make anything after this song, the artist didn’t even do anything on a local level. The song just appeared in Russian radio stations one day, nobody really knows how they got there…
The Kremlin claims that they had nothing to do with production with this song, but in an odd twist the spokesman for the artist is also a spokesman for some politician or political office in Russia. So this is probably Russian propaganda.
I should warn you I plagiarized that form several websites, and i am not so sure if they are great sources.
The grad student who showed me this video claims that this video was (is?) quite popular in Russia. Also around the time it came out, Putin really started to become a sex symbol in Russia.
But I mean look at him, who couldn’t he be a sex symbol?
