Around SBN: Which Players Will Join The 3,000-Hit Club?

Reds lose at least five in a row for the fourth time since the All-Star break. Cubs win, 6-4.

Sure, I could tell you about Jonny Gomes's home run, or noted Reds-killer Aramis Ramirez's three hits, or Brandon Phillips trade bait Jeff Stevens getting the win.  But the Reds lost, nobody around here watched it, and OMG THERE'S A SQUIRREL ON THE BASEPATHS!

Low line drive to the opposite field

hit the top of the wall and went out. Denove’s home run was much more of a sure thing. Other than those two, the Reds Bats really didn’t seem to hit many balls hard all night. I was shocked to see that they had 12 hits once the game was over.

Definitely a good argument.

At least half of those hits were infield hits.

Exciting!

Yonder was definitely the most exciting player of the game, although Bruce’s at bats were fun to watch. Yonder made a couple of nice defensive plays, hit the home run, and had another well-hit single.

didn't everyone

wear the red hats?

Even the umpires wore them during the Yankees game. In honor of 9/11.
