Hell yeahz.....SIS, LAST PLACE edition

We definitely have to do something to commemorate the Reds landing in the basement of the NL Central.  I dont recall the preseason predictions, and i would love to have a link from a Mod showing what we all predicted, but i dont think anyone here thought this was a last place ballclub before the season started.

The last restaurant I ate at was Gordo's, the last movie I saw at the theater was Tropic Thunder, the last vacation I took was to Chicago, the last person I would want on the Reds roster is Willy Taveras(considering salary), the last GM I'd hire for the Reds is Jim Bowden, the last beer I had was an Old Style, the last thing I had to eat was an egg white omelette on a strawberry bagel, the last bobblehead I got was Edinson Volquez(and it resides at Chez Ash), the last Red Reporter i saw was jch (and he didnt ignite his clothing this time), and the last television show I watched was Man vs Food.

So........what are  your lasts?

Go Reds!  And take Mike Brown with you.

too early

Save the celebration for when we catch the Nats. #1 draft pick, baby!

The last restaurant I ate at: Denny’s. Menos free breakfast (thanks for nothing, C-Pat)

Last movie I saw at the theater: Probably the first LOTR movie, “Fellowship of the Ring.”

Last vacation I took: Sarasota, the last time the Reds would have spring training there.

Last person I would want on the Reds roster: Brett Myers. I can’t root for the laundry when the guy wearing said laundry is that much of a jerk.

Last GM I’d hire for the Reds: agree on Bowden. What a loser.

Last beer I had: I don’t drink.

Last thing I had to eat: Spam, eggs, and rice. It’s a Hawaii thing.

Last bobblehead: Don’t collect bobbleheads.

The last Red Reporter I saw: Haven’t met any RRs in person. That might change if I get around to my midwest tour next summer.

Last television show I watched: Ghost Hunters. But I’m starting to think Grant is a hoaxer.

In Hawaii, it’s probably mostly via the Japanese, though there are a lot of Chinese, Filipinos, Koreans, and Vietnamese, too.

My bucket list

Last vacation I took: NE Pennsylvania to play in my friend’s dad’s memorial golf tourney. And to party with D-grade strippers, of course.

Last person I would want on the Reds roster: Albert Pujols. I simply hate the man too much.

Last GM I’d hire for the Reds: Someone who has never been here before: Kenny Williams. Overall: Bowden.

Last beer I had: Bud Light, last night around 2:00 AM.

Last thing I had to eat: Grilled ham and cheese sammich and salt & pepper chips

Last bobblehead: Brandon Phillips, last Saturday

The last Red Reporter I saw: obc, last night/this morning

Put cooked noodles and sliced chicken in the same pan with some heavy cream, medium heat

Add Olive oil (or butter) lemon pepper, black pepper, garlic salt, basil, oregano, peas, mushrooms, Parmesan cheese

this could mark the return of the SIS!

The last restaurant I ate at: Denny’s: The Pub in Lexington.

Last movie I saw at the theater: Get Smart at the Dollar Movies.

Last vacation I took: Pittsburgh with the rr’s.

Last person I would want on the Reds roster: Corey Patterson

Last GM I’d hire for the Reds: Steve Phillips. Although he would trade a Pujols for Cabrera and somehow they’d both wind up with the reds.

Last beer I had: Newcastle at the pub. Before that I tried a sampler of Hoegaarden, tennant’s, twisted thistle, and dogfish 60 minute. All were good but strangely enough, the twisted thistle tastes like spice drops.

Last thing I had to eat: Frosted Flakes and Blueberry Nutri-grain bar.

Last bobblehead: Edinson Volquez, and it was about as finely constructed as he is.

The last Red Reporter I saw: BK, Happy Birthday to him!

Last television show I watched: Ni Hao, Kai Lan

Here we go

Last restaurant: I grabbed a sandwich Friday night at Quizno’s, but the night before that I ate at Great Wall Szechuan Restaurant, reputedly one of the best hole in the wall Chinese restaurants in DC. Gotta say, the food was really damn good.

Last movie I saw in the theater: Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. SPOILER ALERT – A good 50% of that stuff at least is not in the Smithsonian.

Last vacation I took: I’m not counting little day trips to Columbus and Chicago, and I’m not counting going back home for holidays. So, the last multi-day vacation was down to Charleston, SC last August, and it was unexpectedly kickass. If you’ve never been to Charleston, great town.

Last person I would want on the Reds: Hmm. Something about Scott Spiezio…

Last GM I’d hire: Cam Bonifay. I’m amazed that guy still works in baseball. What dumbass team hired him?

Last beer I had: Miller Lite. I’ve been on the cheap booze tour. In the last two days, I’ve had Pabst, Yuengling, Miller High Life, Bud Light, and Miller Light. Beer snobs piss me off.

Last thing I had to eat: Chocolate chip cookies.

Last bobblehead I got: Edinson Volquez. Also, it’s the only bobblehead I’ve got.

Last Red Reporter I saw: jsl, at a really disappointing bar.

Last television show I watched: I spent this morning finishing up Season 3 of How I Met Your Mother.

now this is an interesting SIS. kudos obc

this should be fun

Last restaurant: i had a bagel at Tim Hortons in Buffalo yesterday afternoon. im never going back to that town again.

Last movie I saw in the theater: District 9. at least half of the stuff in that movie isnt in the Smithsonian.

Last vacation I took: Lake Canandaigua, NY. it was nicer than Buffalo.

Last person I would want on the Reds: Kaiser Wilhelm. even if he werent a skeleton he probably couldnt hit a curveball. and they tell me he was mean as a snake.

Last beer I had: Yeungling. you guys talked it up so much and i wasnt real impressed with it the first few times i had it. but i’ll be damned if it doesnt represent. we got a case of it for 10 bucks. that’s the kind of story i’ll tell my grandkids.

Last thing I had to eat: challah, a nectarine, and some cheez-its

Last bobblehead I got: Edinson Volquez. i just fixed his arms with superglue the other day. it should be dry in 9-12 months.

Last Red Reporter I saw: 3 Fast and Chesirecat.

Last television show I watched: Futurama

Canandaigua

I ended up there when I got lost looking for Watkins Glen.

The only reason I’d heard of the place is that’s where Jason of Ghost Hunters was born and raised. They went back there one episode, to check out the haunted town hall or some such thing.

Last restaurant: Cin Cin, a Chinese place which conveniently uses the first six letters of Cincinnati Reds.

Last movie I saw in the theater: Australia. Wasn’t my choice.

Last vacation I took: Somerset, KY for a family reunion.

Last person I would want on the Reds: Sir Sidney Ponson.

Last GM I’d want: Brian Sabean.

Last beer I had: Tsing Tao. I was in charge of the beer for an Asian-themed event, and I figured it better to have too much. Even if it meant I had to take home the leftovers.

Last thing I had to eat: Tillapia, rice.

Last Red Reporter I saw: Man Mountain and Gray.

Last television show I watched: Simpsons rerun (Bart’ drops a pop-fly in a championship game)

ok, I'm game

Last restaurant: Jeez, I honestly don’t remember. I think it was a deli that, instead of having hot pastrami, just put the sandy in the microwave. I was told it was the best deli in Saint Louis. I’m not happy.

Last movie I saw in the theater: The latest Harry Potter. It was with family, I couldn’t skatch out.

Last vacation I took: Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. Gorgeous places, had a great time, I would love to go back with someone who hiked and was outdoorsy one day.

Last person I would want on the Reds:I have never had such strong negative feelings for anyone I have not met than I have for Dusty Baker.

Last beer I had: PBR. Don’t judge me for the Pabst, judge me for drinking it at the premier " indie rock dance party/club" in town.

Last thing I had to eat: in case you missed it in the other thread, I just ate this mountain, man.

Last bobblehead I got: I got a bobblehead of myself as a graduation present. That was pretty fucking awesome, I have to say.

Last Red Reporter I saw: Nukkah bought me a Ray’s Hell Burger before I left DC.

Last television show I watched: Bourdain’s No Reservations, natch.

"And then there was the USAID guy in Kandahar who drove a giant pink Cadillac, which the locals set on fire one day. If you wanted to destroy something symbolic during a riot, you just could not do better than that. Good stuff." - Ghosts of Alexander

The last restaurant I ate at: Gordo’s. Best burger in the city.

Last movie I saw at the theater: (500) Days of Summer. Unlike Madville, I enjoyed it.

Last vacation I took: Destin, FL back in May. Next month my wife and I are hoping to take a weekend trip to Chicago for our 10th anniversary.

Last person I would want on the Reds roster: Corey Patterson. I’d hate to see the internal strife that Dusty will have to go through trying to balance playing time between Patterson and Taveras.

Last GM I’d hire for the Reds: Steve Phillips. Really, you need a reason?

Last beer I had: Yeungling. More like Yumling, amiright?

Last thing I had to eat: Honey Nut Cherrios.

Last bobblehead: Edinson Volquez. It was in 5 pieces when I got it home, but I’ve successfully glued it all back together.

The last Red Reporter I saw: ‘than, Ash, snohio, and BK, standing outside of Gordo’s with money in my hand.

Last television show I watched: I’m getting caught up on Big Bang Theory online. I’m about a third of the way through season 2. It’s quality, but I’d put it behind The Office and 30 Rock for comedies currently on air. (I don’t watch HIMYM, though rumor is that it’s up there in quality.)

We had the same answer on like 4 different questions!

Big Bang is not as good as the Office, but I probably enjoy it more than 30 Rock.

Also, HIMYM has always been good but the lack of progression in their storyline has started to annoy me. Lots of bait and switch on that show. Therefore, BBT is now the better show.

The last restaurant I ate at: Barney’s Beanery, where the bar features bucket seating from old cars and over 130 types of beer.

Last movie I saw at the theater: The Hangover.

Last vacation I took: Bachelor party weekend in Las Vegas. Last extended vacation: my honeymoon in Fiji in ’06.

Last person I would want on the Reds roster: Willy Taveras, or maybe Barry Bonds.

Last GM I’d hire for the Reds: Jim Bowden.

Last beer I had: Lost Coast Brewing Tangerine Wheat

Last thing I had to eat: Egg sammich on dry wheat toast.

Last bobblehead: TV Guide Network’s Lisa Rinna & Joey Fatone on the Red Carpet. Latest baseball bobble: someone gave me Tommy Lasorda.

Everyone in the Pool!

The last restaurant I ate at: Timothy’s on the Riverfront (Wilmington, DE)— not much of a river, by Cincinnati standards… though we did have a body wash up couple of months ago!

Last movie I saw at the theater: Bolt, in 3-D; if the 4-year old is happy, EVERYONE’S happy!

Last vacation I took: Virginia Beach. In-laws live down there, so the price is right. Plus, got to leave the 4-year old for a night with Grandmom and Pop-pop and made an overnight escape to the Outer Banks for some grown-up time!

Last person I would want on the Reds roster: David Ecstein was my #1, but I don’t wanna’ be unoriginal. Tie for 2nd: Jason Kendall and Yuniesky Betancourt

Last GM I’d hire for the Reds: Dusty Baker— don’t say it couldn’t happen.

Last beer I had: Dogfish Head 90-minute Imperial IPA.

Last thing I had to eat: Bison Burger with guacomole, fresh jalapenos, lettuce and tomato. Sweet potato fries on the side.

Last bobblehead: Tom Browning, sent to me by a former co-worker. I went Dr. Andrews on him with the super glue or else he’d have been Jim Abbott in a Reds uniform…

The last Red Reporter I saw: Haven’t met any RRs in person— Chico’s Bail Bonds softball kept me away from the DC trip, and I’m still hoping to make the last visit to Pittsburgh…

Hm.

The last restaurant I ate at: Andy’s Mediterranean Grill. It was good, but prepare to spend several hours on the toilet after eating it.

Last movie I saw at the theater: The Goods. It was, uh, not very good.

Last vacation I took: Cape Hatteras, NC. I prefer a beach with calmer waves and clearer water, but it was a good time nevertheless.

Last person I would want on the Reds roster: I don’t think I could handle having David Eckstein or Craig Counsell on the Reds.

Last GM I’d hire for the Reds: Bill Bavasi. Of course, he’s not that far from being the GM…

Last beer I had: Michelob Ultra. I’m a pussy when it comes to my beer, tending towards light American lagers. Ah, the hazards of being a binge-drinking college student.

Last thing I had to eat: Tombstone frozen pepperoni pizza. Very mediocre, but hey, whatever.

Last bobblehead: Joey Votto, earlier this year.

The last Red Reporter I saw: Can’t say that I’ve seen any of you. I think I’d feel a little awkward being considerably younger than pretty much everyone that goes to meet-ups, but I think it’d probably be a good time anyways. It’s on the to-do list.
