Game 104 Thread 2: Joey gets us to extras
Joey Votto ties it up in the 8th at 4-4 and now we head to extra innings. This is almost like winning.

Lol me too...it would be awful
Nice grab by Rosales…the guy can throw like a cannon….

just wanted to add that Joey's forearms
look huge in that pic. He’s so strong (I’m allowed to gush right now)
I think that's been mentioned on here before

The debate in the last thread made me decide that I'm going to write a Votto vs. Pujols comparison
Go Joeh?
Um
Pujols has been doing it for 8 years. No matter how good they are this year, Albert is what he is. Joey’s season could still be a fluke.

You guys are just raining all over my parade.
Obviously Pujols is a better player. I don’t expect to conclude otherwise. But Votto is our Pujols, let’s not kid ourselves.
be sure you bring up the fact that Pujols OPS'd 1.013 and smacked 37 dingers...at 21 years old.
And then got better, OMG.
I could make an argument that you only don't walk Pujols with the bases loaded when it's the bottom of the 9th.
123 PA with bases loaded, 132 RBI.
Bailey....???
And nice walk by Gonzo

I think the Reds mangement should accomdate him then...
Beware of the toothpick, it knows what you're thinking.
plus
Bailey’s the youngest pitcher in there..what was dusty expecting?

"If he's not healthy, why is he in the lineup?"
No fucking kidding.
Let me write out a formal proof for you.
Well, good thing you don't care!
I think that’s very unfair. He got the fly ball – that should have been an out – and the ground ball that was an out. I guess a run scores anyway due to the wild pitch.
Haha, that's fair.
It wasn’t an error, but that’s just because Nix was slow. I truly believe that 60% of CF would get to that ball.
I was sitting in the outfield....
There was no way Nix gets to that ball. Fowler, not being the powerful guy, would normally get played shallow. He just smoked that ball.
"If it wasn't this, it'd be something else."
I think Dusty is trying to get fired.

Stupid Reds....

Fuck You, Joe West for the bad call
Fuck You, Alex Gonzalez for the lazy flip throw
Fuck You Dusty and Walt for giving us this crap.
Find me on MySpace- http://www.myspace.com/mixfmkyle
You could have said
Fuck you Dusty and Walt for not calling up Stubbs, who would have easily gotten to that ball.
Yeah, Nix is NOT a CF

Do they play the Pirates any time soon?
I want to see that.
Let me write out a formal proof for you.
We play at Pittsburgh
August 21-23, then they come to Cincinnati August 31.
Let me write out a formal proof for you.
Pirates
gonna be kicking our ass in the near future w/ all the prospects they got..unless of course, they trade em.

So are we tied with the Pirates for last?

The plan is working...
Reds are making a nice little mess on the kitchen floor; now we need someone to put Big Bob’s nose in it. He must be trained!
He sits alone...Reds are not home.
I've experienced several emotions just now
but the dominant one is probably dejection. They can’t win, at all! Time to rub Bob and Walt’s nose in it
I predicted a win today and I was close through Nine

someone must have used dark powers to win
bec\ause it seemed fated that we would win for al ittle bit there
A short eyewitness report from the game today (more may follow from others attending)
- In the play at first in the 11th, the guy looked safe. Gonzalez’s throw was terrible though, it was his fault more than the ump’s.
- I like Drew Sutton. I don’t like Alex Gonzalez.
- I totally called Votto’s bomb in the 8th, and Rosie’s groundout after that.
- Bronson threw a lot of pitches, but looked better than I’ve seen him in the past. Must be all that andro.
- Ian Stewart’s HR was a bomb.
- Gonzalez needs to be taken out to the woodshed and put down. He’s probably responsible for 2 of the runs tonight, and still can’t hit for shit. Paul Janish starting today probably means a win for the Reds.

You called the Votto Homerun
but OBC (the soothsayer) called the Rolen HBP

True.
Too bad he missed on the Rosales walk-off call. Twice.
