Baseball America: Reds sign their top two picks
The Reds have signed Mike Leake to a $2.27M contract and Brad Boxberger to a $857k contract, according to Baseball America.
This is excellent news. It would suck for the Reds to have wasted their two first round picks and gotten nothing. I'm glad they got the deal done.

Good work Walt, or whomever does the negotiating
seems like both are fair deals. Both are above slot, but not by much, and I’ve read about 3rd-5th rounders getting over 1 million, so this seems good.

I’m told Leake/Boxberger are not done deals, yet.

On his blog
Sheldon explains that the players have to pass their physicals first. So the official word on the deals won’t be announced probably until Monday.
