I'll never know why I watch the Home Run Derby. Each year its like watching molasses roll downhill while having Chris Berman screaming idiotic phrases at me through the television speakers. Maybe next year the league should limit the hitters to five outs in order to speed that shit up. I can only imagine how many people there must have been texting, tweeting, facebooking, etc on their cel phones at Busch Stadium. It's 3+ hours I'll never get back...
Which brings me to the thought of what's on the ole bucket list? Initially I thought it would be best to keep it baseball related but I'm not sure that's a big enough spectrum for the mass number of responses a SIS generates. So, include at least one or two baseball items and then just have at it, its a free for all.
I'd have to put visiting a couple of the old baseball shrines, namely Wrigley Field and Dodger Stadium, at the top of the list. I would like to have a catch with my son on the Field of Dreams field in Iowa(but i cant fathom when I'll be in the neighborhood). I'd love to do Reds Fantasy Camp before I get too damn old. I want to camp and see the Grand Canyon with a mess of my friends and their kids one year. I want to have a draught Guinness in a pub in Ireland.
But this isnt about what's on my bucket list...its about what is on yours. Whattya say?
