Rays fan coming to Great American
Hey guys. I like to find situations where I can go out to ballparks whenever I can. I've managed to get to three outside of Florida thus far (Turner, RFK, PNC).
Next week I've decided to come up from my timeshare in northern Georgia and make the trip up to Cincinnati for a Reds game. I already have made arrangements, and will be up in the View boxes, section 423 to the left of home plate next Wednesday night.
I just have the general questions: What should I see/do/eat at the park, and around Cincy if I have the time (besides the Underground Railroad Museum, which I have already been told about ad nauseum)? Not too much, I'm only gonna be in town Wednesday, have plans to do Churchill Downs on the way back down to Georgia on Thursday.

First and foremost
Show up an hour or so early to the game to check out the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum. It’s the best this side of Cooperstown, is located at the stadium, and (I believe) is free with a game ticket. It’s a great look at the long, storied history of the Reds.
I also advocate eating Skyline, although most people are unenthusiastic about it if you didn’t grow up eating it. Hope you have a good visit! Between Tropicana, ProPlayer (assuming), and RFK, Great American Ball Park should stack up pretty nicely.

Newport at the Levee
is the place to park and walk over the Taylor Southgate Bridge. Many people, however, like to go to the Hooters/Beer Sellar comple on the river and take the river shuttle to and from the game. Thats a decent experience for a non-local yokel.
after walking over the bridge to the ballpark enter the left field entrance and make your way to the Machine Room, Great American Ball Park’s air conditioned pub and grill. its always nice to cool off after making that walk in the summertime.

It is my duty to suggest the 'Creation Museum".
a strange little place, especially if you should happen to believe in the scientific method..but I digress…

Creation:
God could have made this fine universe faster than it takes a flat curveball to reach the moondeck. But in his almighty wisdom he set up creation into a week long process.
The First Day
God created light seperate from the darkness, kinda like Taveras seperating balls from strikes.
The Second Day
God created a separation of the waters turning liquid vapor into the oceans we know today. Similar to how Taveras’ occupation of first splits a pitcher’s attention from the plate to 1B.
The Third Day
The first appearance of dry ground. The same stuff caked on #3 after he steals second.
The Fourth Day
With the sky now clear, the sun, moon and stars were dependably visible, along with a lazy fly ball to deep center.
The Fifth Day
Great numbers of birds and sea creatures inhabit the earth, kinda like the wings Taveras sprouts when he reaches third on a sacrifice fly.
The Sixth Day
Vast numbers of land animals. Those that roam the earth like a slow roller to second base. Man is formed in God’s image, capable of advancing home on an infield grounder.
The Seventh Day
The Sabbath Day, a day of rest. Kinda like the Reds offense after putting up a run, sit back and relax knowing your starter is going to get you at least to the 7th and Rhodes and Cordero will seal the deal.
