The City of Cincinnati rebrands itself, goes away from anything remotely interesting
Looks like y'alls taxpayer money is going up for some new letterhead (but not design fees, because Macy's paid the designers themselves). Cincinnati has a new logo, and it is probably the least unique branding I've seen. Forget this "Place Branding" fad, this "c" could stand for Columbus, or Cleveland, or Chillicothe, or even Cinque Terre!

That looks like it would make a fine washer or dryer logo
A friend of mine from Boston just returned from Cincinnati and claims that eating Gold Star made her sick. Let’s work that into a brand.
Here's one way to do things
This is how Arlington, VA is branding itself.

The C looks a lot like a partially eaten minty lifesaver
My 11yr. old grandson can do better than that…
Sweat plus sacrifice equals another useless out. Mads
Too bad the City didn't hire this artist to create a branding logo

Or may they could have picked a more historical aspect of the city and modernized it al la this guy:
Sweat plus sacrifice equals another useless out. Mads
