Game 41 Thread: Indians at Reds

Another pitcher having a bad year that the Reds are facing. What is this, three in a row?
Obviously with the holiday weekend and beautiful weather planned, things are going to be sparse here at the site. We'll have game threads and hopefully game wraps for you to comment on, but other than that we may not be around much. Please have a safe and fun weekend. Things will get back to normal on Tuesday. Go Reds!

Wow, that was 10 minutes ago
and no one else has commented.
I don’t know if it’s the good weather, Votto on the mend, Gomes on the team, Homer on the way, or what, but I feel good about this team right now.
Isn't there a slanket somewhere you should be filling with your farts?
I'll be watching the Red

i do think this game has the potential to be a wild, high scoring game
Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand
Reyes sucks
He always has sucked.

wow this place is really dead
i was expecting a low turn out due to the obvious reasons, but this is like a Bucs Dugout thread. yeesh.

Six walks in three innings?
I gather Reyes left due to suckitude and not injury?

it looked like the suckitude
was due to injury. he started the game with 12 of 13 pitches for balls.

George is REALLY pissing me off tonight
His revisionist history earlier about Reyes for example. “After watching him pitch in St. Louis the last several years, you knew something was wrong.”. Does it matter how Reyes pitched with St. Louis, or just that he played for St. Louis? Because he was never that good, and it’s pretty much understood that Anthony Reyes is a fails top prospect.
GG is to St. Louis like Thom is to Arizona
Except, to my knowledge, George has never broadcast there

I really feel for Gomes.
They finally called him up after gettting royally screwed over to start the year. The first pitch he sees be tattoos into the corner. Be’s pumped up b/c he’s finally showed them. But then then here comes Dickerson to run for him, which means a) they don’t think he’s a good baserunner or fast enough to score or as good a baserunner as Chris F. Dickerson. Sad. Good to see that he’s not posses off. But I imagine it’s like my new softball team where the they keep making me play catcher even though I’m their best fielder at every position. Jerks.
The ironic thing about that pic is
I find Coco Crisp offensive.

catcher is the hardest position to play, isn’t it? The toughest position on the defensive spectrum.

Single to LF
Ben Francisco inexplicably didn’t throw home even though Rosales had to make sure that the ball got to the OF.
I thought for sure that was going to be another Mark Berry Special

I was so happy Gomes got called up that I put that Fiesta picture as my phone wallpaper
And I laugh my ass off every time I look at it.

Not much action at RR tonight..I was babysitting a 2 month old grand daughter...but
Saw a lot of the game on FSN. Even though George is still plagued by his partial lobotomy he and Welsh are so much more into the game that is being played than tHomg…anyway like everyone:
glad to see Gomes up and contributing
glad to see it wasn’t a beautiful dream gone weird – McDonald is still gone
even though I’ve bitched constantly about him..great night at the dish for Gonzo
nice to see Rosy come through…he’s hilarious to watch
And how about that Coco – really looked like a closer tonight – 11 for 11
Love it when Bronson is in the groove and throws all that junk…fun to watch him when he stays relaxed and has obviously had enough boat and ‘bait’ time before the game.
Back to my penance.

my mind was reeling
attempting to come to terms with an 0-2 deficit after that Turkuglu shot. i was already writing the script for the time i would explain to my yet-unborn children how the ‘09 Cavaliers collapsed. that was LeBron’s “The Shot” moment. that was his “Bird steals the inbound pass” moment. now im writing the script for how i’ll tell my yet-unborn children about the time LeBron saved Cleveland Ohio.
