Farmers Only Update: Yep, Thompson's hurt, and more minor league moves
Daryl Thompson left the Bats game last night with tightness in his right shoulder, according to the game report. Called up to take his place in AAA is reliever Federico Baez, who will probably move into the bullpen with Ben Jukich taking his place in the Louisville rotation. Zach Stewart will take Baez's place in Carolina, and Misael DeJesus was sent down to Sarasota presumably to make room for Tony Brown's callup from Dayton. Taking Stewart's place in Carolina is reliever Logan Ondrusek, who's having a stellar year for Sarasota. Also, former IU wide receiver Andrew Means is joining Dayton in Brown's spot after deciding to forgo the NFL to play baseball.
So to recap:
Thompson (Louisville->DL)
Baez (Carolina->Louisville)
Stewart (Sarasota->Carolina)
Ondrusek (Sarasota->Carolina)
DeJesus (Carolina->Sarasota)
Brown (Dayton->Sarasota)
Means (NFL->Dayton)

Everything is looking great for the Reds right now, eh?
Criminey.

Just by mentioning "razor," you just cut Alex Gonzalez
And he’s a hemophiliac. Nice going, obc.

I'd be willing to put good money on Ram-Ram making that start and the Wagon sitting in the garage for a week

This may have changed, but
When I first saw the story, there was only comment. “I don’t like this guy. He’s too cocky.” Fuck, do I hate Reds fans!

Not too concerned
We still have a healthy Homer, Maloney and Roenicke on the 40 man.
What is concerning is that Gomes is yet to replace McDonald.
Also in the back of my mind I am wondering how the last 4 games would have went if we actually would have used the DL on Gonzalez. Well rested players, an extra bench bat, and Gomes getting time at 1B(he plays 1B too right?) with Votto seeing stars. I really think we would not be in a 4 game skid. I just wish Jocketty would be a little more Krivskyish and make some roster moves. But what do I know I thought Arthur Rhodes was going to be Chris Hammond II.
