Delwyn Young anyone?

According to MLBTraderumors.com the Dodgers have Designated OF Delwyn Young for assignment.  They now have 10 days to trade or release him.  Delwyn had great Minor League numbers, but the Dodgers never have been able to fit him in their outfield at the MLB level with similar young talented guys like Matt Kemp and  Andre Either, and overpaid vets (Juan Pierre and Andruw Jones) blocking him.   He's played mostly LF in the minors, but also has played Right, 2nd, 3rd, and 1st. He was out of options, and with Manny, Pierre, Either, Kemp on the team they decided to release him.

Career Minors Line: (2,755 AB's)  .303/.362/.515

Career MLB Line:  (165 AB's)  .267/.331/.394

I would think his switch-hitting stick, would be a lot more valuable over the course of the full season than Laynce Nix or Darnell McDonald.   Get it done Walt.

What do you see when you think of a big bag of dicks?

Are they in a big freezer bag, kind of lumped together like chicken parts?

Or are they stacked in a brown paper bag like baguettes?

A cheap 26 year-old switch-hitting left fielder..

..with five hits in six GABP at-bats?

Sign him up.

Certainly better than McDonald

But it really doesn’t matter. If either are getting significant playing time we’re boned.

wait

is that the good form of boned or the bad form?

I'd take Delwyn

1. He couldn’t be worse than Laynce Nix offensively
2.He couldn’t be worse than Delbert McFlurry defensively
3. He reported to have promised to stick to the Prince Fielder diet which has been so successful for his brother.

Its probably going to happen - bend over

Despite the name

I’m pretty sure that Delwyn is not related to Dmitri or Delmon Young.

Of COURSE they're related... I mean...aren't they all....
