Johnny Cueto struts his stuff on the mound today against the Astros. Cueto has give up 4 runs in 14 innings this Spring so far, though 3 of those runs were for the Dominican team in a scrimmage versus the Orioles. The good news is that he's only got 3 walks compared to 10 strikeouts. If Cueto has that sort of ratio during the season, he's going to be very good.
Relievers available in the Reds bullpen today are RHP Nick Masset, LHP Ron Flores, RHP Jeff Kennard, RHP Josh Roenicke and LHP Pedro Viola.
The Reds will be facing off against Russ Ortiz. He's trying to make the Astros squad after missing the entire 2008 season. So far, he's 0-1 with a 5.56 ERA, so his performance ain't helping. Then again, the Astros are just 1-16 this Spring, so maybe he makes it by default.
See the Reds travel day lineup after the jump.
Game time is 1:05pm. For the second time this Spring, the Reds are gonna be on TV. If you live in the Cincinnati area, you can catch them on FSN Ohio. If you are outside of the area, you can catch them on MLB Network or MLB.TV. If you are video disabled, there is always Gameday.
