I hadn't seen this before it was replayed on Conan O'Brien's last "Late Night" show on Friday. It was replayed on his last show because it's probably one of the crowd-pleasing funniest things he's done.  It's classic Conan.  It's funny.  It's baseball.  Enjoy.  (Forgive me if this is one of those things that everyone has already seen countless times.)

Everyone has already seen it countless times?  Well, here's something else also baseball-related that I am sure has not been widely circulated as it is new on HBO this month: "Eastbound & Down."  Looks promising if you're jonesing for an over-the-top half-hour comedy about John Rocker if he had fallen even further than he fell.  Anybody seen it?

Eastbound & Down is a comedy show from HBO, starring Danny McBride as Kenny, a former professional baseballpitcher, who after a disappointing career is forced to return to his hometown middle-school as a substitute physical education teacher.

 

 Will Farrell produces the show and evidently has a recurring bit part.  It's classic "phoned-in" Will Farrell.  Funny?  I dunno.  Discuss.

And finally, here's the video for Fogerty's "Centerfield" from 1985.  You've heard the song a quazillion times.  Maybe you love it.  Maybe you've tired of it.  Maybe "meh."  But the video is pretty cool and I hadn't seen it in a long long time.  (And it's kinda hard to track down as YouTube wants no part of it.)
