GOING TO SARASOTA ?

That's right, the beautiful Mrs. M and I are loading up the Jeep and the Yukon and heading for spring training. We'll be renting a house along with Daughter #1 and Hubby (2kids), Daughter #2 and BF, and Daughter #3 (only 20 and no BF, at least on this trip); my son and fiance are expecting their 2nd child about the time we're going so they are too chicken to make the trip, - talk about fair weather fans...

We'll be there from 21st thru March 28th I am fired up to see part of the Reds' Ed Smith Stadium swan song.

3-23 1:05pm Toronto at Sarasota
3-24 OFF DAY
3-25 1:05pm Boston at Sarasota
3-26 7:05pm Minnesota at Sarasota
3-27 7:15pm NY Yankees at Tampa

We looking at going to the Toronto game, the Boston game,the Minnesota game and my son in law D#2's BF, my grandson and I are seriously considering an hour and half road trip to Tampa to see the Yanks. (Mostly because there are rumors that the renowned and world famous BubbaFan might be there!)

I'll be taking photos and keeping RR informed of any shenanigans that dusty is up to. Plus I hope to interview some of the better players - like T-Virus and Gonads...

Let me know if anyone else is going to be at ST that same week and we'll get together and go to a game or two the beers are on me.

I’m still working out the terms of my parole with my corporate jailers. ;-)

To tell you the truth, I don’t like going to games at Legends. Er, Steinbrenner. They’re Nazis compared to other parks. I prefer to catch the Yanks at their away games.

I went to Legends once, many years ago.

Highlights:
Got David Cone’s autograph
Got a batting practice foul ball (off Patrick Lennon of the Royals, I think)
Don’t remember much of game….it was a night game and we were tired after seeing the Reds get throttled by the Pirates at Plant City in the afternoon…left about sixth inning and decided to go donate to the local arts scene just down the Dale Mabry Highway.

I went to Legends once

it was a single A game in June. We were sitting right behind the Dunedin Blue Jays’ dugout, and their pitching coach yelled at my dad. My dad has a loud voice, and it was the 6th inning or so, and the Jays’ pitcher just lost it, and the flood gates opened, and the manager was ejected, and when the Jays finally decided to remove their pitcher 5 or 6 runs were already in, and my Dad was talking to me, as he stood up to go to the men’s room, and said “I don’t understand why they are taking him out now the damage is already done.” The Blue Jays pitching coach (who’s name I wish I could remember) was like “Who the hell are you, we are running this team not you, sit down and shut up dumbass!” It was pretty amazing.
