Most OF Errors past 33 years
I was stunned to read that Jay Bruce had 11 errors last season. Growing up I remember thinking it was impossible for a major league outfielder to have double digit errors. I remember routinely hearing that the best of the best only had an error or two a season. I did a little research on the most errors in one season by the Reds outfielders that I could spit out by memory. Not all of these seasons occured while a Red. I just wanted to see what the highest error total was in a single season by these here fellas.
15 --- Dave Parker 1979, age 28
13 --- Kal Daniels 1990, age 26
12 --- Adam Dunn 2006, age 26
11 --- Griffey Jr 1989, age 19
10 --- Georger Foster 1978, age 29
Griffey Sr 1978, age 28
Glenn Braggs 1986, age 23
8 --- P. O'Neill 1999, age 36
M. Cameron 1999, age 26
Reggie Sanders 1993, age 25
7 --- Eric Davis 1986, age 24
Austin Kearns 2006, age 26
Gary Redus 1983, age 26
6 --- Cesar Geronimo 1976, age 28
Eddie Milner 1985, age 30
5 --- Deion Sanders 1995, age 27 (albeit 85 games)
and just for kicks and giggles.....

Cesar Hernandez
only committed one error? Inconceivable!
It seems like he single-handedly cost the Reds about 5 games in his short stint. And likely cost Tony Perez his job.
I think he misplayed a couple balls out there so miserably that they just fell as hits. He was terrible.

Wait a sec
Cesar’s antics were ‘93 right? That’s when Doggie was the boss I think.

As well as ED’s. I wonder if he’s also in on Eric Chavez, Ernie Banks, or Edgardo Alfonzo.

what is the error to assist ratio
this may be old school thinking but it seems that somebody with a really good arm, may tend to throw balls past the catcher more often than a guy with an average arm.

Two fingers up, quickly turns them to form an L-shape, Two fingers up, quickly to an L-shape again, then a throat slash…. drops ball.
Wow... now I'm optimistic
I’m practicing to become a stats guys too! Using the stats you provided in this post, it appears that Bruce is on his way to being as good a defensive outfielder as Junior was! Awesome!!
The season doesn't start until the Cincinnati Reds take the field! Reclaim The Opener!!
I know you are all impressed that I was still playing at 30
